Early Check In Question?

My family and I arrive this Thursday and will probably arrive at the resort around 10:00 to 11:00 am. Can we check in early and then hit the parks before our room is ready? Also, is there microwaves in the rooms? Thanks....

Yes, you can check in as soon as you get there. If your room is ready, bonus! If not, they will hold your stuff, and activate your magic bands (if you have a package), and you can go to the parks.

No standard rooms have microwaves in them. DVC villas do, and family suites do, but just a regular room, nope. No microwave. There are microwaves at the food courts that you can use, though. Have fun!!

If you are staying at a resort that accepts faxed room requests fax them a letter for room request and let them know what time you will be arriving.

We just got back from POR and in my fax I told them I would be there at 5am. I was there at 5:30am and we had two rooms next to each other ready for us.. and this was with 99% occupancy.

If you haven't done it yet, you should go to MDE and do the early resort online checkin. During that process they will ask what time you intend to arrive. While that doesn't guarantee anything, it can only help the chances that your room will be available when you arrive. If they know you are going to be there early they can at least try to assign you to a room that will be ready earlier.

Where are you staying? At BC, we called housekeeping and requested a microwave and they brought it right up.

Yes, you can request a microwave at CSR when you check-in. They are first come, first serve and cannot be reserved in advance, so it is possible you will get one and possible you will not get one.
