EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Greetings from Africa!

I've been in South Africa the past 2 days and will be here until Friday when I'll be moving onto Windhoek, Namibia. Yesterday I was able to see Seal Island, African Penguins, Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Today I did Robbin Island and the Aquarium. Tomorrow is District Six and possibly winery tours :D. And despite the fact that I put sunblock on 3 times yesterday, I"m nice and crisp today because the sun is so much harsher here. Oh well, at least I remembered to pack aloe or I would not be a happy camper.

btw welcome baby John!!!

Sounds like a great trip, Melissa. Africa is one of the places I would love to go in my life. Make sure to keep applying the aloe!

Congrats Pinkprincessmom and dad!!! I hope everything is going well with your family and baby John.

Melissa, glad you had a safe trip to Africa. Sounds like you having a great time. Keep us updated when you are able to.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all your well wishes. Sorry we haven't posted a picture yet. I had to get photobucket to remind me of my password/screen name. We'll try to get a picture up soon.

John is doing well. We're still getting used to the feedings and not sleeping much. DD is adjusting well. She gets a little frustrated at times. She and DH went out yesterday and got her a fish. She named it Princess.

I'm going to join John in a nap.

My family and I will be joining everyone on the Magic for this trip. Hope to chat with everyone and cant wait for the cruise

Here's a picture of the baby and proud big sister.

Welcome to the cruise kendo911!

What cute kids!! Your DD does look like a very proud sister. Glad everything is going well. Our youth pastors had their baby on Wednesday, 8 lbs 13oz, 21" long. They named him Carson West.

The 15th is almost here again!! Another month down!

Hello Fellow Cruisers,

We (Me 41, DW ??, DS 13, DD 11) will be joining you on the 12/15/07 Cruise. This will be our 3rd disney cruise during the holidays. Can't wait until December.

welcome. This group is alot of fun. :dance3:  :yay: :cheer2: There are several children close in age to your's

Welcome Pumba's Dad.

We're doing pretty well. Still trying to get used to not sleeping much at night. John sleeps more during the day than at night. Starting tomorrow, it will just be me and the kids. DH is back to work and my mom left on Saturday. DD is tracked out of school for 3 weeks...and she has a virus. She wants to hold DS so badly, but we're trying to keep him from getting sick.

Stacie...congrats to your pastor and wife. Hope their son is doing well. How is Andy's weight?

Welcome to Pumba and Kendo!!!

Hi all! Susan, what cute kids! Congrats!!! How is everyone doing now? How is John's sleeping going?

Stacie, how is Andy doing? Did you figure out his tummy problems? When do you leave on your trip? It should be coming up soon!!

Welcome Audrey!!! Glad to see our thread growing!!!

Hey all!! We got back yesterday. We had a "MAGICAL" time, and yes I did cry when it was time to leave. We had two connecting cat 6 rooms, and we really liked all the space. I gave up our Cat 3 suite because the onboard booking price for two cat 6s was "suite"er.

Andy loved all the new sights and sounds. I think he gained as much weight while we were gone as I did :) . He goes back to the Dr. on Wednesday for his 4 month check. We've come a looong way in just a month.

DD loved hanging out in Ocean Quest she had three friends that she had talked to online a spent a lot of time with them. DS loved staying out until all hours of the night. We made them both eat dinner with us every night and they even enjoyed that. We had linked dining with two other couples so there was lots of conversation and things to talk about. Our servers were Evandro and Gabor who were great. I think they only had one other table so they spent lots of time entertaining us with magic tricks and conversation.

The weather was good, short periods of rain each day, but then plenty of sun. We had to tender in to St. Thomas (what an unorganized process!) but still got to do the sky ride and some shopping. In St. Martin we rented a car and tried to find a nice family beach. It was really windy so the sand was blowing everywhere but we had a nice lunch on the waterfront and had fun anyway. Castaway Cay was to die for as usual. It rained for 15 minutes in the morning and then was beautiful after that. Andy went to Flounder's, DS went on the teen Wild Side excursion, and DH, DD, and I did the jet skis. It was a blast. We got Andy afterwards and then DD and DH went snorkeling while DS, Andy, and I hung out at the beach and played in the water.

We had stayed at WDW three days prior to the cruise. The parks were really busy and we didn't get to ride much. We did get to AK pretty early in the morning and got fastpasses for EE, then used baby swap. The CM gave us an extra baby swap card so the kids got to ride three times, I rode twice, and DH rode once. We enjoyed the Beach Club and the dining plan rocked. It was great to have all the meals and tips payed for in advance.

Welcome to all the new people on the thread. We have a group website set up so that we can put faces with names and know a little bit more about each other. The info is in the first post of this thread.

Susan--Glad things are going good, hope your DD starts feeling better soon.

Stacie, Welcome back!!! I am glad you had such a good time!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that DH is getting laid off. :( I think that is why I haven't been posting much lately. Maybe I am distancing myself from you guys just in case we can't go. Hopefully he will find a job soon and we will be able to come still. He is supposed to work until June 1st during the transition period and then he will be done. If he stays until then, he gets a decent severence package if he leaves before then he gets nothing. I am hoping he has a new job to go to when the June 1st gets here and then we can just keep the severence money. :)
