Cristi-I got your info but DS is playing a game on the laptop so I'll have to add it later on.

Our camping has gotten rained out. Last night we had a severe thunderstorm warning and got lots of rain and quarter size hail. Tonight we went down for awhile and while we were eating supper the sheriff went through that there was another warning issued. Nothing happened except a little rain but more is coming later. Oh well, its almost too hot to camp anyway. Fireworks here are tomorrow night, hopefully they won't get rained out.

Too bad camping got rained out Stacie. That was some good size hail. We had a pretty good hail storm last week too. Ours was probably only marble size though, but the wind was pretty wicked. Lots of branches in the yard. July is usually the month that we get a ton of hail storms. I know we need the rain and all, but I hope it doesn't rain tonight.

Does everyone have big plans for the 4th? We will just be here around the house. Cleaning and yardwork duing the day. Then later we have a block party in the cul-de-sac. Everyone brings their grills around front and cooks their own main dish and there is a table set up with dishes to share. We hang out eating and having fun and then ususally set off fireworks after it gets dark. It is a pretty good time.

Hi! I am back, I am still really busy but wanted to check in especially since Cristi is coming to Middle Tennessee soon! Cristi, please bear with me, I have a plan for us to meet at a local restaurant that will be easy for both of us to get to and it is a half way point. Today is much cooler. We've been packing some. We got a loooong way to go.

We went uptown for lunch, a couple churches had food stands, quick, easy, and no mess. We are bringing the camper back to storage this afternoon. DH is getting it hooked up now.

Tonight we'll probably go see the fireworks. They are being let off right by my parents body shop. I hope they remembered to block off the driveway or the whole town will probably try to park there.

Tammy, I'm glad to see your still around, I was starting to get worried about you.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. I went to my sisters she cooked.

I'm going to watch fireworks on TV, have my 10 Godd & she hates the fire works. Her mother & grandfather love them,so I get to child sit. I really don't mind watching them on TV. Last year I went from Boston ,NY, Phillie, & DC & never left my house. They are synernized(sp) to music, it is really cool.

Hope everyone's fourth was great! Ours was really good until about 8pm. Then it started raining. We were having a block party. We had tables, chairs and the grills all set up in front of our house. Out meat had just gotten finished and I was fixing the kids plates when it started sprinkling. Brad quickly pulled the cars out of the garage and we moved everything in there. We all thought it would pass over quickly, but it was not to be. So, we all (only two other families and a bunch of teenagers) sat in the garage eating our dinners. Then the teenagers took off and the rest of us sat out there talking. We really needed the rain, but it would have been nice had it waited a few hours to start. It was still fun, but we didn't get to set off our fireworks. Oh well... maybe tonight.....

Our 4th was good, we were almost cold watching the fireworks (temps in the low 60s, after a week of 90s). They shot off the fireworks across from my parent's body shop so we had a spectacular view.

Sharon--I used to love the Boston Pops and fireworks when they showed it on A&E, now its on network and by the time we get home it's over. Guess that's what they make TiVO for.

Did some more packing today. I need to get DH to move it out to the shop at the new house, it's getting hard to walk around all the boxes.

Sorry I have been so quite for the last week....looks like the construction worker who we hired to do our wood floors has turned out to be shady. He took half our money and now seems to have vanished. We have been leaving messages for him but no reply, we left him a deadline of this Monday to call us or we are going to start legal action. Boy do I hope it does not come to this. On a good note the siding is all done and we are closer to the cruise. How are all you guys doing? Hope you all had a great 4th of July.

Stacie, you better get DH moving those boxes. We can't have you tripping over them and smashing babycruiser.

We are leaving for the family reunion/class reunion tomorrow morning. This time tomorrow I will be meeting Tammy for dinner. Boy, I am hungry now. I probably won't be back on before we leave. Everyone have a great week!!!!

Tammy-I'll take ALL your boxes. I've been buying boxes at the shipping store and plastic totes at Dollar General. To get boxes at Wal-Mart you have to be there early (I'm NOT a morning person). Take pictures of your mini-meet, I'll put them on the website. I'm soo excited that you guys are getting together. If anyone ever comes through Iowa let me know, we're almost in the direct center.

Babycruiser is safe, DH and DS took a huge load out last night, I started on the basement today. UUUUGGGGHHHH! When my parents moved out they left the basement untouched, all my childhood toys and junk, now all my kids toys and junk. You wouldn't believe the happy meal toys we threw away today. The baby may never know that happy meals come with toys if I have my way!!

Kristen good luck with the contractor, I don't want to watch you on the People's Court. Document, Document, Document!!

Okay Stacie, come and get them, We are knee deep in boxes. Do you have a dairy anywhere near you? I got loads of great boxes at the Prarie Farms place.

I met with Cristi and her family last night and she and her family are so lovely!! Both her dd and ds are beautiful children and much better behaved than my daughter. We had a great meal and took a couple of pictures and laughed and had a ball. They will be back on the 16th and Cristi will post a couple of pictures.

I have put the computer in the upstairs near the bonus room to help keep me off the boards so much. I was spending too much time on the boards! I need to get the house organized and with work, I need to get busy with that stuff. I will make sure to check in here every day for at least a few minutes.

Kristin--any news about the contractor? Keep us posted we are thinking about you....

Stacie--Those walmart tubs are great for packing and they make great storage later. I have a few of those.

I think I'm going to be at WDW the same as you. I'll be there Dec 20-27, staying at VWL. I hope. I bought someones points. I don't have the conformation yet


I wish I lived near you, could use your knee deep boxes. Going today & get some boxes to clean out bedroom. Finally got the right draft to have clost organizers(sp) put in MBR. I have to make room for the workers just so they cab do the job

No cause for alarm, I'm not lost in clutter!

Yesterday I cleared the basement and most of the family room, DH had to take two really full pickup loads last night. Now I'm out of boxes again. DD babysat four kids under the age of 5 today at church while a crew from our church worked on their Habitat for Humanity House. DD was there from 8-3, I releived another lady atl 11:30, we are very tired. It might be a take-out pizza night.

Sharon-glad to hear your project is rolling right along. Kristen-any news from the floor guy?

Anyone seen the new pirate movie?

DS finally got off the laptop so I'll be updating the website here in a little bit.

Still no news from the contractor and today is day 7 of calling twice a day. This is driving me nuts. At what point do you sue.....if the guy would only call me back I would think we could resolve this nicely. I want to feel like I have gone through every option before we would start legal action.

Hope everything goes well with the move and you don't die from packing.

I emailed all my cruise info....does anyone know the website to see the end result.

Hi everyone,

We're back from a vacation. We left June 30 to visit some friends in Ohio until July 5. We then spent July 5-8 in DC. It was a great vacation. We got to see the Indians beat the Yankees. I'm leaving soon to pick up my dogs from my parents' home about 2 hours away. DD begins school July 17. It's been a very short summer!!

Stacie-thanks for doing the website. I sent you my information. I'm looking forward to seeing the site.

Kristin-so sorry about the contracter. Here we have something called 5 on your side. It is a local news station that investigates stories like yours. Perhaps your local news station has something similar that could help you get your money back. Good luck!!
