Early Check-in and EMH

We plan on staying at Sequoia Lodge and taking the RER from central Paris on our first DLP day. We'd like to get a full day in the park and are willing to get up early to do so. Would it be possible to check-in and participate in EMH even if our room is not ready?

It should be possible. For the last 3 summers we have done this at Hotel New York - arrived by about 7.30, checked in, picked up park tickets and then gone straight into EMH. We then went back after lunch to collect our room key and unpack.

Yes we did a similar thing in August. Caught the RER from Paris and arrived at the New York at 8am. Fine to collect our passes etc and head to the Parks.

Depends on the day you arrive at the resort.
RER will be packed wall to wall on rush hours.
You'll definitely want to be out of the trains by 8am

It will be a friday in August. We're thinking that we'd be on the RER by about 6:30 AM. Does that sound about right? Should we look to take an earlier train?

You'll be fine at 6.30, it's an hour later when it starts getting going and an hour and half later when it's manic

You get your easy pass when you check in, so there's not reason why you won't be able to participate!
