Early buses for breakfast at AK???

Hi! I have a PS or ressie (whatever they're calling them now) for Donald's Breakfastasaurus (sp?) at 8am and the park opens at 9. Will the buses run early enough to get me there at 8? THANKS!

Animal Kingdom: Disney Bus service will begin 1 hour prior to the park opening time listed for that day. Bus service for Character Breakfasts begins ½ hour before the earliest seating. The marquee on the bus will read "Character Breakfast." It should be noted that guests should verify with the driver which park the bus is going to for the character breakfast because there are different ones for different parks

Be at the resort bus stop 45-50 minutes before your ADR. That is just in case you missed the previous bus.

The early morning breakfast busses sometimes have the park on their sign. So, if you are standing out at the bus stop at 7:15 and an Animal Kingdom bus pulls up (instead of saying Character Breakfast), that's your bus.

And no matter what, DO take the bus (wait for the bus) when your ADR is prior to AK's opening (as yours is). Do NOT try to drive, and do not hop in a taxi if you just missed your bus. AK does NOT allow any vehicles, other than WDW buses, through to the park prior to opening. You'd be better off being a little late for your ADR than trying to get there by car or cab....

Boy, WDW really needs to fix this annoying AK quirk!

That is what I heard too ... Cars are not allowed into AK in time for you to get to an 8:00 am character breakfast, but the busses will run early enough for you. We're trying that out in a little over a month and I will be sure to post our experience with it for helping others. We also plan on asking at the AKL desk the night before just to be sure. (or more preferably to ask a bus driver the day before !! I hear they know more about their own busses than anyone else!)

We've had breakfast at Donald's four times at either 8 or 8:10 on days when the park opened at 9. We've always taken the bus - from the Swan twice, and from CSR and WL once each. We usually catch the bus between 7:10 and 7:20. The buses have always gotten us there in plenty of time for our meal.

I was very concerned about this (getting to AK before park opening) in November, as I had a tour reserved. Here was my experience at OKW. I went to the bus stop at 7:25 just as an AK bus pulled up (the bus was marked "Animal Kingdom"). No one else got on the bus. By 7:45, I was off the bus at Animal Kingdom.

What bleeps said is ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!!!!!
Don't bother to ask at your resort front desk, they will either not know or give wrong info. As Tyler always says here on the DIS.....only trust transportation info from someone wearing purple pants (bus drivers).
