When you enter from dinoland are the Fast pass machines first or the ride line?

Both the Standby Entrance and FP MACHINES (Distribution) are virtually side-by-side.

The FP ENTRANCE (to the FP queue) is a bit closer to Dinoland than to Asia.

The MOUNTAIN ITSELF is much closer to Dinoland, but the ENTRANCES and FP distribution are closer to Asia.

Friday, May 19, 2006: this was our experience:

DAK non-EMH (9am open)
Donald's Breakfastosaurus: 8am Ressie.
Enter for breakfast at 7:55am
Breakfast finished at 8:40am
CM "held" everyone at Bone-yard area (nobody allowed to go back into DAK)
At 8:55am, we were "released" to walk on past the Tarzan Rocks/Nemo Theater (still just I-beams, under construction) to the bridge where two CM's were holding a rope.

They watched across the water until they saw the hordes of folks (being led by CM's) heading towards Asia.

They speed-walked us back to EE, but the "hordes" from the front gate beat us to the standby entrance (Asia is the shorter route to EE than Dinoland).

But, one of our CM's walked OUR group directly thru the FASTPASS entrance (she told the FP CM that we were "coming through"!)

We were on the FIRST ride, in the second car of EE that day!

COOL!

Now, I don't know if this is STANDARD PROCEDURE (so don't COUNT on it to happen) but it was a PERFECT way to start our DAK day, that morning.

Excellent. This makes the breakfast a little (lot?) more special.

As noted in my original post, we were released before the crowds and followed the path past Nemo Theater. I didn't know at the time that we were ahead of the opening crowd (my watch said so, but it could have been a couple of minutes off of Disney time). I walked kind of fast and kept looking across the bridge on the far side, but I never saw the people from the normal rope drop area until we exited the ride from the 1st train of the day. There were no CM's with us since they must have known that we were way earlier than the standard rope-drop.

In April we were actually not allowed to leave Dinoland past the theatre, only through the "front" entrance/exit, so that's great news if you're now able to do this - saves everyone heading in the same direction!

We've got an 8 Am ADR at Donald's next month, so this sounds terrific! I am a little concerned about riding on a full stomach, but maybe we'll get FPs first and let the stand-by line "build" a little.
