Early Breakfast at8:20 Contemporary- Chef Mickeys

Does anyone know if there will be a bus to the Contemporary resort from the Movies Resort? We have booked a 8:20 am breakfast... How do I get there???
Help.. I heard that the buses don't run early.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Disney has early morning buses for the various meals all around WDW. For the MK the buses start running aroung 6:15am to 6:30am. Give yourself at least an hour since these early buses don't run as often as the regular park buses. Sometimes the driver can drop you off right at the resort. In your case tell the driver you are going to Chef Mickey's and maybe you will be dropped off at the Contemporary.

If you have to get off at the MK turn right when you get on the sidewalk and take the seven minute walk to the Contemporary. Much faster than walking up the monorail ramp and possibly having to wait for a monorail.

Luckily, you heard incorrectly. As wdwgoofeeee already informed you, buses run as early as 6:30 a.m. or so.

I wish I had a time stamp on this photo, but please trust me that I took this photo (from my balcony at Polynesian, with a telephoto lens) at 6:45 a.m. on a day when Magic Kingdom opened at 9 a.m. Note the buses running INTO the MK bus area to drop off guests at MK.

After I posted this question... I re-checked my dining schedule and found out that we are eating at 7:20 am... is a taxi a better option?? How much would that be??? help!!

Maybe I'm missing something here. You got replies from 2 people explaining that the buses start running way early enough for you to make it to MK for a 7:20 a.m. reservation ... I even have photo proof of buses arriving (dropping off guests) at around 6:45 a.m.

What more can we tell you???

You can spend money on a taxi if you want, but it won't be necessary. It could even take you longer, since the taxi won't be able to drop you off at Magic Kingdom ... it'll have to drop you off at the Transportation & Ticket Center and you'll need to take a ferry or monorail from there to Magic Kingdom. By contrast, the Disney Transport buses drop you off relatively near the MK entrance.

I love using taxis for early morning ADRs. You can get pretty much anywhere on Disney property for about $20. By using a taxi you will gain about 45 minutes of sleep. Conventional wisdom is to give yourself an hour or so to get to your ADR by using Disney transporation. In case you have to spend some time waiting for a bus to show up. With a taxi you can usually walk right outside your resort and hop in one. To me, that extra 45 minutes of sleep is worth the $20.

Yes, you can. The resort monorail starts running at 7 a.m.
