We have sailed on the DCL for the past 4 years in September (off season). Early booking discounts never seemed to really matter for our sailing dates. They didn't really change much (probably didn't have full ships--this may be when they offered good Florida resident discounts to fill up the ships).
Well this year things are different! I just looked and the cost of my upcoming September cruise is up $1100! I know other times of the year people see bigger hikes than this, but in September the prices never seemed to change much.
THEN I decided to compare my 4 day cruise that I have booked in 2005 in September to the cost of the same cruise this year. WELL they are sold out of 11 & 10 cat. rooms! (at least on the DCL website, I realize through All Seasons Travel, they still have some in their inventory--this is all strictly based on the DCL website).
So I am finally 'sold' on the idea of booking early. We only did it to get the SPRs! Does anyone have any idea when the 2006 rates and dates will be out?
Thanks!
DJ
