From CSR to AKL for an 8am breakfast, would the simplies thing be to just take a cab? Or at that hour, really what are the other choices?

Depending on what time the park opens, you could take a bus to AK and then the bus to AKL. But honestly, a cab would be the quickest and easiest option.

Why not just change your reservations and stay at the AKL?
Honestly, it's such a cool resort! ::yes::

Well, I leave in less then a week, and that just wasnt in the budget :D

And to the other poster, the park open at 9, so that would be out. Since I think they start running an hour before opening, so that would be when I need to be there. Plus would they actually have busses FROM the parks to the resorts that early?
I think a cab is going to have to be it that morning :D

They often have discount codes for the resorts, it's not too late!
You might be surprized how affordable AKL can be, call WDW reservations and even if you don't have a code, tell them you are curious about how much it would cost to switch resorts. When they give you a price, ask if there are any other discounts available. Can't hurt to try!
Have a great time!:)

Your best that early is a cab. If you want to save money; you can take a bus from the CSR to the AK, (buses will be running that early for the Character Breakfasts) and then take a cab from the AK to the AKL.
I had a 10:00 breakfast at Boma and still had trouble using the bus system. I had taken a bus to the AK, the park opened at 9:00, and just figured on taking a bus to the AKL. Well the buses that drop the guests off that early do not necessary go back to the hotel. When I went to get on the bus that had just dropped off people from the AKL, the driver told me he was going over to the CBR.

Take a bus to AK. From there you will catch another bus to AKL. Buses start running to the park from the resorts at 6:45. Just allow yourself some time. Getting to AKL early is a good thing because you can walk around and admire the beauty of it. Save yourself the cab fare.

I figure we'll just cab it direct from CSR, I cant see the cab being that much cheaper from CSR to AKL or AK to AKL, I mean I know it will be somewhat cheaper, but for the speed and ease of it, I have a feeling we'll cab it..
