Early arrival at POP...early check in possibile?

My family and I are arriving early from Boston to Orlando on 10/4. We will get to the resort around 10 am, and I planned on dropping our bags and hitting the parks. But, what are the chances of my room being open? I would love to get into our room early, but I have never arrived this early before. I didn't request a preferred room, so any open room will be fine with us. Due to the fact it will be Columbus Day weekend, I think my chances are slim to none, but has anyone had any luck?

The only time I have not gotten into my room at Pop before official check-in time is New Year's Day,when obviously all the rooms were taken the 31st of December. I would bet you anything that your room will be ready.

We arrived last Monday about 9:30am or a little after. Our room at ASMo's was ready. Ours was a standard room. I am not sure if it had anything to do with me telling them about our anniversary or not when I booked the vacation or not.

We arrived at Pop on Labor Day week-end at about 10:30am and she said and here is a map and key to your room, I said it's ready? She said yes it is!

I was thrilled!

We arrived on Sunday before Labor day about 8 am an our room was not yet ready we didn't expect it to be an was already dressed for the parks needed nothing from our luggage we did move Elvira over where we wanted her parked for the week before hitting the park tho but made it to the park by opening time.

I mostly go to WDW during the off-season, and in all my on-site stays I've only NOT had a room available once or twice.

If you haven't requested anything specific and are willing to take whatever is available, you can almost always get into a room first thing in the morning in the off-seasons. And the end of September is still the way-off season, despite the Columbus Day weekend.

We arrived on 8/21 at around 11:00 am. Our room was NOT ready. They gave us a number to call, but told us it would be available by 3:00pm. After calling the number a million times to check on our room we where told by the CM on the phone that rooms are not GUARANTEED until 5:00pm, that Mousekeeping try's to be done by 3:00pm but it's not guarantee until 5:00pm. We did not get our room until about 4:00pm, and after a long red eye flight from Oregon with my mother who has medical issues and needed a room for rest and breathing treatments I was not happy at all with POP that day. My poop mother was way too tried and sick to go to the parks so went spent hours walking around POP and sitting in the heat outside.

The rest of our trip however, was perfect!
