Hi everyone!

I hope to get ressies for Crystal Palace at 8am, but I'm affraid that this isn't going to happen because it seems like getting anything during free dining is difficult. So, I know that I have to be open with back up plans and different times.....What time would you suggest I try to get ressies for CP if I can't get 8am? I would like to be in the park first thing in the morning (like rope drop) to get in line for some of the major attractions. I would assume that if I got a ressie at 8:30am then I would get caught up in early morning crowds once breakfast was done.

Also, in your experiance, are ADR's for 8am easy to get or are they the first to go?

If you do not get the 8:05 am time dont worry...any time before the park opens is a good time.....we have been to this breakfast many times early, and it never takes us longer than 40 minutes to eat and see all the characters.

So do you think if they have an 8:30am opening I should take it? On the day that we plan on doing CP we plan on touring Tomorrowland first. Do is there anything that we are going to miss if we don't get into the park right at rope drop???? I know Space Mountain isn't open, so I should have no worries there.

We tried for the earliest and got an 8:30 which I am happy w/ though I woulda been happier w/ an 8 :-)
I did get an 8 at Tusker House so I was happy about that.

However I've tried 3 other times since then and have been told Crystal Palace is fully booked for breakfast- so i'm very glad i at least got the 8:30.

Mythinking is, we will arrive at 8- tkae some pics on Main St. and then arrive at the podium aroun 8:10 and maybe get lucky at gettingi seated a few minutes early- but I won't count on it.
Then we're gonna just go get food as quick as possible and see what charactesr come by. We are NOT gonna wait for any particular characters to come around b4 leaving. We'll leave when we're done eating- cuz for us it's more important to get to rides early than to see a particular character.
Though i'm hoping to just get lucky and see everyone AND eat all in 30 minutes :) I can dream right?

Oh good..I'm worried about this too. I might be switching days for breakfast at CRT & CP, so I really need an early CP. 8:30 wouldn't be too bad for me. I'm so glad people are having success! How many days out was it for you all?

We got an 8:05 reservation during free dining too, although I did make that the 1st reservation I asked for. If you finish eating before rope drop where do they hold you?

Hi everyone!

We are looking to get eqarly ressies for here too, as I would like during our second week to get into the park extra early and get some nice pictures of the castle without too many people around.

However i was under imptression this wouldn't be too difficult as people don't tend to use free dining for breakfasts (in fact I am not sure you can even?)

The 8:05 am reservation at Crystal Palace was the only ADR that I really wanted that I managed to get :lmao: So hopefully it will be the same for you!

Hi,
It was just mentioned that perhaps you cannot use free dining for character breakfast. We are on the DXDP w/free dining and we are planning on using it for a few breakfasts especially character. I never heard this before is that correct about not using free dining for breakfasts??

You absolutely CAN use free dining for breakfast, that poster simply said she thought a lot of people choose not to. In my experience though, that is not really the case.

I must have really lucked out when i called for an early CP breakfast. I called on about the 82 day out and asked for 8/7/09 Friday, earliest breakfast and they said 8:05. Very excited about this one!

We got an 8:20am CP, can't remember which day, sometime during the first week of free dining. I had wanted a little earlier, but am fine with 8:20am. I did manage to get an 8:05am for Donald's Safari Breakfast and am very, very happy with that!

I was able to get a 8:10 am, but now i am worried about how to get there from pop century as this is not an early EMH at Magic Kingdom that day. I did post a thread and hopefully someone will know the answer. I want to use disney transporatation and not use money for a cab.

We managed it easily last year when it was 180 days out but not this year rang at 7.30am 90 days out & was told all booked for CP on our first day. same with Tusker for a few days later. Rang back around 4pm & managed to get CP brekkie for 8.55, going early & dh will go fp splash for us while we eat, we eat much slower than him. good luck.

We generally get the 8AM or 8:05 ADR. Once we got 8:20 and it still was a Tiggerific time!

@Well.Briz For 8:55 they'll probably let you in around 8:25-8:30 as the "official" Disney policy is to check-in 15 minutes before your ADR time & you'll need time to walk from the front to CP

Busses start to run at about 6:30 am, I would be at the bus stop no later than 6:45am and you should be fine. We did this in August at POR and arrived well prior to our 8:05 breakfast with our 8 week old.

We went last year during free dining and had pre-park breakfasts for everything from 8:05 to 8:35 over various days. They let us in at 8 every day, no matter when our actual reservation was for. Our latest reservation (the 8:35 one) at CRT we actually wound up being the first people let in that day. Just get there early and try - it never hurts!

If getting into the park at rope drop is your goal, an early ADR at any MK restaurant is probably not the way to go. They have been letting people into MK around 8:45am, so even if you have the 8am, it's extremely unlikely you'll be done with breakfast before the crowds start coming in. I'd be more inclined to book one of the last breakfast slots...like 10:15a, so it's more of a brunch.
