During our April trip we will spend 2 days at MK and I do believe that one day we need to do early ADR and other day see the RD. What about the other parks though? I'm thinking early ADR may be worth it for Soarin...I'm really not sure about AK or HS though. What do you all think? My ADR window opens in 30 days so I kinda have to decide now. (so tough with no idea what FP+ we will get!)

We loved our PPO breakfast at Tusker House. We got there at maybe 7:30, got let in around 7:45/7:50, finished breakfast and met all the characters by like 8:40, then had about a 30 second walk to Safari and were the first people of the day on that. Plus, the food was good.

i have only done one at MK, so can't comment on the others, but do be aware that Disney changes opening hours so your pre-park opening ADR at MK may not actually be one by the time your trip arrives. Are you going near Easter?

yes we are. I'm hoping to book earliest ADR possible. I have not seen the parks scheduled to be open before 9am so I hadn't considered that.

We have a Pre-Park opening Garden Grill ADR for next Tuesday. It is our understanding that we will possibly be able to ride Soarin' before the regular park crowd gets to the ride. Since it is my wife's all time favorite Disney ride (she wants to get back in line and ride it again), we are hoping this is so. Will post after it happens to let you know.

During the 2 weeks surrounding Easter MK will likely open every day at 8:00 with EMH at 7:00. If you're going then, I wouldn't bother with an early ADR.

We had great experiences doing pre park opening breakfasts at all the parks. We had 8 am breakfast reservations for 9 am park openings. We did CRT and BOG at MK -- after BOG we were able to ride 7 dwarfs with no wait and then Peter Pan with a 5 minute wAit. We did Garden Grill at Epcot -- the characters came around 2 times, we were done by 8:45 and on Soarin with no wait. We did Tusker House at AK, which was not quite as relaxing because it was a buffet, but we saw all the characters and were not rushed. We then were pretty much first in line for Safari. We did Holywood & Vine mainly so that we could sign up early for Jedi Training. That was our latest ADR at 8:20. We easily signed up for Jedi Training and then went to breakfast. We left before all the characters came by -- we saw Sofia and Handy Manny, but we were fine with that because my kids don't watch those shows, and Sofia was the only one my daughter wanted to see.

I understand that some people make early and late breakfast reservations (say, 8 am and 10:30 am) and cancel one once the park hours are finalized. We were lucky and had 9 am park openings all week.

MK EMH won't be every day though? Everything I've seen says they still rotate days - is something new that morning EMH for MK are 7 days a week?

The week before and the week after Easter tend to be the busiest and in the past they have extended EMH to almost daily during those 2 weeks.

BOG at MK was the best park-advantage PPO breakfast for us. We were able to finish on our own time and not wait for characters. We were also right in Fantasyland and got to ride 7DMT before the RDers.

Akershus didn't give us an advantage for Epcot. I was hoping we could ride FEA before the RDers, but the princesses took a long time coming out and we weren't seated where they started circling. We did get to ride Test Track twice with little wait, though.

Tusker House at AK was great! We had an 8:15a ADR and didn't get to the park until 8am (long bus wait). We had a completely deserted walk back to the restaurant! The characters were just starting to circle and we saw everyone fairly quickly...and the food was great! We walked right into the safari line when we exited.

we did Tusker House last time! I wasn't going to so that we could do something different but it keeps popping back up on my plan. I think it's so good it just might be a must-do!

It's not uncommon for the to add EMH days during Christmas and Easter. If there isn't EMH every day, it will at least be most days.
