My sister has an 8am ADR at O'Hana on a day when no parks have early entry. They all open at 9am that day. Since we are staying at AKV, I figure that she will need to be at a bus stop by 7am in order to get to a park and transfer to the Poly. That's when it dawned on me...will there be any park transportation 2 HOURS before the parks are scheduled to open? I know they run buses for those with IN-PARK ADR's before the park opens, but since her's is at another RESORT, I don't know what to suggest. They have 2 kids (ages 2 and 6) so they would need a car seat in a taxi for the 2 yo. They are planning on heading straight to the MK afterwards so taking her car seat with her is not an option. What are her choices? Her original plan was to pay for a cab, and I still think that is her best option, but she is concerned about the car seat issue.

Suggestions??
TIA!:thumbsup2

Buses start running, every day, by 6:30. For an 8am ADR, at the Polynesian, I would be out at the MK bus stop no later than 6:50. If you just miss a bus, it could be 30+ mins u til the next one. That timing should have you on a bus by 7:15. When boarding the bus, ask the driver which is going to be faster to the Polynesian....boat or monorail. The driver may offer to stop at the Polynesian on the way out of the area....they usually drive right past the entrance. If that offer isn't forthcoming, head to the monorail...that should take about 15 mins, plus any wait times.

If the monorails are still on the reduced schedule, a bus will be available from MK to Poly & GF.

I would go with a cab. You can request one with a car seat. I like to get whatever sleep I can while at WDW, and the extra time you get using a cab vs waiting on a bus are precious.

Should she set this up (request it) the night before? Every time I've needed a can from the resort, I just walked up to the valet and they called for one which pulled up within minutes. Do most of them have car seats available?

You can call Mears and "order" a taxi ahead of time. We did this when we stayed at SSR and had an early breakfast ADR at 1900 Park Fare. We called the afternoon before and asked for a van taxi - because there were 5 of us, and they picked us up right at our building at SSR.
