So excited about my upcoming stay at BWI:cool1:

I will be leaving Brazil at 8:30 p.m with my 2 boys . My husband will be coming a day later due to work. We arrive in Miami at 4 a.m:scared1:

Then we will catch another flight to Orlando after going through customs and immigration in Miami. We leave arrive in Orlando at 7:45 a.m and will get the Magical express.

Obviously after this looonnngg journey alone with 2 kids and suitcases , I´ll be wiped out upon arrival. My greatest desire will be a shower and a bed!;)

What is the chance of an early check in ( we will arrive on Jan.13) and if we can´t checkin , what are my options? Can I shower at the gym or something?

Thanks
Kim

Someone else might have a good answer for you (I don't :goodvibes)... However, since you're staying CL, I would call the club/concierge floor desk and see what kind of magic they can work for you.

Magic would be good!

Anybody have personal experiences with early check-ins?

You can check in as early as 7am, but that doesn't mean a room will be ready.

There is a laundry and shower facility near the pool where you could shower and change.

I would talk to concierge, but I think that may increase your odds of having a room that early in the morning - but it all depends on occupancy.

In December 2010 when I was staying Club Level at the Boardwalk Inn I remember there was one morning around 9:00 AM when a family had just arrived and one of the Club Level Cast Members said their room wasn't ready, but they were welcome to have breakfast in the lounge. One perk of staying Club Level is that you get access to the lounge from the moment you arrive even if your room is not ready.

We have always been lucky, we usually have a early check in, usually arrive at the resort at 9:30-10 in the morning and always have had a room ready. Good luck in getting your room early!

That is all good news! I hope we get lucky , I´d love to have a bite in the lounge , shower and nap a bit before hitting the parks.

If our flight arrives at 7:45 , what time can I expect to arrive at the resort , using the Magical express?

Thanks for the great feedback!
Kim

A little background (CR Resort Fan 4 -- correct me if I'm wrong)...

CL rooms are assigned differently from the rest of the resort. The CMs there have some say in where you are assigned. If they know you are arriving early they might be able to assign you a room that they expect to be available (or they know is available when you arrive).

I've never taken ME, but I would guess it would take between 1-2 hours to get to your resort after you arrive in Orlando and make your way to baggage claim.

That is basically correct. Guests staying Club Level have their rooms assigned a few days before by the Club Level Cast Members working at their resort, so the computer will not be doing it at random like it does for those who don't stay Club Level. One reason is because of specifc room requests they have and only the Club Level Cast Members know what rooms are best to assign them based on their requests. Plus on that form the IPO departments e-mail you, two of the questions is what time do you expect to to arrive and a section for those doing Magical Express to fill in the time they are to arrive at Orlando International Airport. So they know in advance that type of information and try to have your room ready as soon as possible.

Thanks!

How can I contact the CL Concierge at BWI? I checked for an e-mail on the WDW BWI site and couldn´t find one.

I am glad I booked CL , looks like it will be a big help!

Yes, def call the concierge. You should have received an email from them. If you haven't call the main Disney number for assistance. It will be time consuming but they will get the email address and phone number for you. Chances are good that your room will be ready.

It usually takes about an hour for ME (it has always been less for me) if you don't have to go to baggage claim. Add half an hour if you have to get your baggage.

Here is a link to the Boardwalk Inn IPO e-mail address.
Boardwalk.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.com

Those are the Cast Members that make your ADR's in advance and handle any other requests you have.

Also those are not the same Cast Members you will see working at the Innkeepers Club lounge because they are seperate from each other.

We are staying in a club level room in December. Will they send us an email from the Innkeepers Club before we arrive or do we need to contact them first? Thanks in advance

Sometimes they contact me, sometimes they don’t.(you might get a phone call from a 407 number). Email them as soon as you would like though. Give them your info and any requests you might have. They will get back to fairly promptly. I hope you have a great trip!

Thank You so much........ We live in Georgia so I will most definitely be on the lookout for that area code!

This is an 8 year old thread! The info above is outdated and not accurate
You need to start a new thread and ask your questions
