I have read on here that if part of your group has an earlier PAT time, the whole group can go earlier. However, on DCL they recommend the whole group go to the later PAT time. We don't have that much of a difference 4 of us have 10:30-11, 2 of us have 11-11:30, and 2 of us have 11:30-12. Obviously we would all prefer to go together and board together. We will be returning a rental car and have scheduled its return during the 10:30 PAT time. Has anyone every experienced having part of your group turned away?

If you all wish to board together, you should wait for the highest boarding number held by anyone in your group. PATs are not boarding numbers, but your boarding number will be directly tied to your PAT. Otherwise, you may plan to meet up on the ship. There is possibility that those with a later PAT may not be allowed to enter the terminal early, but I haven't read much of that happening lately (still a possibility, especially if the ship is late returning or clearing Customs).
