Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Good Sunday Morning Friends

#1 - Forks - Can’t eat dinner without them

#2 - Needles - As in sewing needles. I need to get mine out and fix a few of my dogs toys. I have them in all sizes

#3 - Sharp Knives - I have way more than I need. I don’t know where so many of them came from. My forks disappear and my knives multiply - so weird
Well...forks ...I guess that is the beauty of border living... 🌮 🌮🌮😁😁😁

Paddle cactus...aloe plants don't need to be watered by habit a good rain once a year will suffice until a monsoon pours... unless you want hummingbirds and their beaks inside the beautiful aloe flower which we enjoy.... hence the metal proxy.. yellow color to the right

1. Kitchen - I second WDWEPCOT's kitchens. I had mine done a few years ago and not having even basic kitchen utilities and appliances for 3 weeks was incredibly difficult. Couldn't live without my kitchen, although I'd love a chef in it to cook for me 😂

2. Best friend - one of my best friends name starts with K. We've been friends for over 20 years since college, and sadly she lives at the opposite end of the country so dont get to see her as often as I'd like. We went to DLP together and loved it, and keep saying one day we'll make it to WDW together too!

3. Kindle - I love real books and was very much against Kindles to begin with, however I've now had one for years and couldn't live without it. The ability to be able to carry around hundreds of books at once is great, perfect especially when you're travelling light or going somewhere that'll involve a lot of reading. My local library does an ebook loan scheme too which means I can borrow ebooks and save my bookshelves at home for the real books I love and want to keep.

Kitchen Kabaret: loved this show

Kindle: like others have said, at first I resisted and now I can’t imagine not having it. Features I love: highlighting, writing notes, and bookmarking with no damage, like with a paper book. I also love being able to look up a word instantly without having to stop and look it up in a dictionary. And, adjusting the font, especially appreciated at my age. :)

My DD whose name starts with K, and whose name I had picked out years before I ever became a mom.

Happy July 1st Friends

#1 - Many Family Birthdays - I’m grateful for all the family members alive and passed away that have a July birthday. Some family members I see and some I don’t, it doesn’t matter, I pray for them all on their birthday.

#2 - 4th of July - I’m always grateful for our nation’s birthday, and for those patriots, back in the 1770s, that gave their lives to give us freedom.

#3 - Good Pool Month - Typically, I get a lot of pool time in July, which I’m always grateful for.

My birthday is in July, and DD always bakes me a cake, from scratch, whatever I like!

Vacation! We always go to NOLA to visit my sister and brother-in-law. Lots of good food, good drinks, and good company!

School is FINALLY out. UMaine usually graduates the first weekend in May but summer session starts the Monday after graduation. We teach organic chemistry 1, lecture and lab, in 4 weeks, followed immediately by 4 weeks of organic chem 2, lecture and lab. It's a crazy, stressful 8 weeks, but it's almost over. Today is the last lab, tomorrow is check-out, and then I'm done for the summer!! I still get paid/work full time, but there is little to do and my time is my own, as long as things are accomplished. Most of what I have to do this summer I can do remotely, so... I MADE IT!!
