Last day of our trip, DH and the boys are heading to Typhoon Lagoon while I stay back and get all our laundry done (1. I'm not really into water parks and 2. The morning we leave Disney, we're heading over to Port Canaveral and getting on a cruise ship for the week so we really need clean clothes lol)

Anyhow, I plan on doing the laundry first thing in the morning and then maybe jumping over to DTD for some window shopping, using up the rest of the snack credits at Goofy's Candy Co and grabbing a bite to eat (will probably bring it back to hotel, we'll see)

I've heard so much about Earl of Sandwich and would like to try them. Two of their hot sandwiches stand out to me (the original and the Italian) Are these just "warmed" or are they grilled? And do you think if I brought them back to the hotel with me they'll still be warm and tasty? I'm really not fond of eating by myself in public. ;) We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge if that matters. And since we're on the dining plan, this is a counter service, right? Does it come with chips or fries or something or just the sandwich. And what would be your favorite "dessert/snack" from here. Sorry for all the questions, but I'm sure all you foodies understand the need to know. :thumbsup2

ooh i love Earl of Sandwich! My fav is the tuna melt :)

The sandwiches are warm but not grilled and the bread is really fresh, they are the best sandwiches i have ever eaten!

We have offten gotten our sandwiches and taken them back to our hotel to enjoy! They wrap them up in foil and give you them in a little bag so are perfect to take away and are still warm when you get to the hotel. They just come on there own, no chips unless you buy them oop but the sanwich is big! so you dont really need anything with it!

The desserts are good too, i like the cinnamon muffin crown (kind of like bread pudding texture) and the chocolate brownie there is the best (i fink its ghirardelli!) the icecream sandwich is good aswell but that wouldn't travel well... i dont recomend you get that unless you like your icecream melted

I highly reccomend EoS, best CS in disney! in my oppinion :)

ME TOO........I love the FuLL MONTAGU and hubby loves the Original now that they took the beef and bleu off the menu.......but I saw someones food description and it sounded like they had it back.
These are great sandwiches to take with you anyplace......ENJOY!!

we ate there last time we were in DTD & I must say that the sandwiches were pretty darn good.

We plan on going there tomm. once we get out of MK.

They have some good soups too.

We LOVE Earl of Sandwich. We have taken them back to our room and they stayed warm.

They have the absolute best OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES!!! O and their sandwiches are good too. Stay clear of the lemonade tea. It's not very good.

I always order The All American without the Cranberries and on the side I get their Tomato Soup, which is amazing.

OMG...Earl is our FAVORITE. We like it so much we bring sandwiches HOME with us! :lmao: I think they will be fine to bring back to your room. I just know I wouldn't be able to make it there far. :lmao: It used to come with chips or something like a fruit cup, but now I think it comes with a dessert. (someone correct me if I am wrong). We usually get the cookies and as a pp said, DH would agree about the oatmeal raisin, I prefer the chocolate chip.
I have tried the Original, Club, Tuna, ham and swiss, the kids pizza and even the PB&J! But our absolute favorite is the Caribbean Jerk!

ENJOY!!

Earl of Sandwich is soo good!!!! I love the grilled cheese lol.

Oh yes, absolute best sandwich i've ever had! The original is fantastic and the Early Grey Lemonade is amazing. I honestly thought it sounded weird but was the best lemonade i've ever had! Mmmmmm....:lovestruc

I agree EOS is great and I have taken them back to the room to eat. They were still semiwarm. You can substitute a bag of chips for your dessert if you want. Their muffin tops are really good though. Their salads are also huge and delicious. When you enter, I can almost guarantee you the line is going to look humongous. Don't panic though, it moves fairly fast.

I'm glad to hear about all these great replies. I'm sure I'm going to get sick and tired of having burgers or chicken tenders or a hot dog during the week using my CS credits. A sandwich is just the right solution. NOW, the decision on which one to get.......OY!!!
