Hi we just got the good news that our flight changed and we will be arriving at Orlando at 130pm instead of 830pm.
so we thought we would head to DTD to take advantage of the extra time we are gaining. we have plenty of TS ADR's for the rest of the week so are looking for a light CS meal. we have enjoyed the WP Express a couple oftimes in the past, but wanted to hear opinions about Earl of Sandwich. What do you guys think? or is there another option you think is better?

Thanx....

We've never been to WP Express, but have been to EOS twice, and LOVED IT! Although the lines can be long, it's definitely worth the slight wait, and the sandwiches are outstanding! :goodvibes

EOS!
We tried it for the 1st time towards the end of our trip last year & are STILL talking about the sandwiches.
We are arriving on the 15th and that is going to be our first stop.

I really don't get the hype about EOS. Been there a few times the line is always out door. Both times my sandwiches were ok, but they were kinda skimpy on the meat. I prefer my local Quizno's honestly. At least there I can talk to the person making my sandwich.

I went to WPE in December and it was great. We ordered, were given a number to place on our table, and the food was brought to us. We both really enjoyed our meals too.

I'd go with EOS as it has always delivered in the taste department, and to us, isn't all that $$$.

Everyone I know who has gone to a WP's or a WP Express, no matter where it's located, says they're not all that great.

I love both CS restaurants but have to admit I prefer WPE. At EOS, you're limited to sandwiches and fairly simple salads; and rarely (if ever) does everyone in my party want a sandwich. At WPE, there are a wide variety of offerings; and portions are large enough to share. I love the bolognese sauce on the pastas (just duplicated this at home and it's excellent!!), fantastic pizzas (I crave the 4-cheese pizza), hot and cold pocket sandwiches, etc. Having been to EOS a number of times, I grown a little tired of the sandwiches there.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with this. We've eaten at the WPE in the Market Place at least 8 times this past years, and it was absolutely excellent each time!:)

EoS was very good, DH had the meatball sub and I had the mozz with tomato and basil...needed a bit of salt and pepper but it was excellent. We shared a jello cup with diced fresh fruit on top..that was aweome!

We have been to both. We always went to EOS but this time we were hungry and the line was at out the door and WPE was empty so we went there! It was great! More to choose from and everything was tasty. We will still visit EOS but WPE will be first choice when we go to DTD now.

:lmao: I'll be sure to tell all my friends that you disagree with them. :thumbsup2

I've never been to EOS, but WPE has yet to disappoint in three trips.

We had EOS for the first time this last trip. We absolutely loved it. I can personally recommend the meatball sandwich

We love them both but I would have to say Wolfgang Puck Express best pizza yummmoooooo...:thumbsup2

We were Earl lovers til our last visit and tried WP Express. Think that's our new favorite. Had a rotissere beef salad that was fantastic. Had 3 folks come up to me and ask what I was eating.

We love:lovestruc WPE!!! We eat there every trip. My DH loves the tortilla soup & I love the pizza..(any of them ;) ) and the salads are always crisp and fresh. And it is the one place during all of our vacation, that my kids actually eat and enjoy their pizzas!

I do not like Wofgang Puck's but I love the Express. We ate there a few times in the last couple of trips that we have taken and enjoyed it more than Earl of Sandwich. :thumbsup2
Penny:hippie:

The photos contrasting the food quantities between EOS and WPE are very misleading. The WPE photos show the meal including soup and salad, whereas the photo from EOS only shows a sandwich, dessert and drink. One could, if they wished, also add an excellent salad at EOS and soup.

As for looks and presentation, I agree, WPE wins, hands down. However, the looks of the food don't matter that much when it's all said and done.

I'm a fan of Quizno's and although they have a number of great sandwich offerings, they don't hold a candle to EOS.

It all depends on the customer's budget... For us, the sandwich, dessert and drink (perhaps adding some chips as well) are more than enough for lunch.
