Ok, no more jackhammer/drilling, nothing conpeting with the piano player, so hopefully those were the worst 2 days? Happily sitting in the lounge right now, sweaty day all rinsed off and ready to hit Geo-82 and a lil’ bit of Epcot After Hours after apps.

Has anyone here had a stay at CL when Disney closed for a hurricane?

Yes I stayed in CR tower level CL in 2022 when Disney was closed for hurricane.

2 vets, I am on the dredge of my seat over here reading through your updates!!!! And… soup and finger sandwiches???? SO EXCITING. I hope the noise stays away and that the rest of your stay is incredible! Thank you so much for making me feel like I was there with you!

So far, sandwiches are cucumber/cream cheese and egg salad, soup has been chicken (noodle??) and tortilla - it is way to hot to eat soup, but they have definitely upped things. I need to see if I can get a BB for Dec!! Or at least next yr . I’ll give a noise report tomorrow!

BREAKING NEWS! I am in a Grand Floridian group on Facebook, and someone just posted a video from GF RPC - the CMs at the club served them afternoon tea. She posted pics and a video, and it looks ---- real. No scones, but tea, cakes, cookies. Holy shizzle!! Now seeing if I can change my reservation for next week.

ETA: OK, ya'll - I have another great CM who is changing all my ressies for next week right now. Going from CR - king club level for 2 nights + CR 1-bedroom TPV for 2 nights to GF resort view club level (AP rate) for 2 nights + GF 1-bedroom suite CL access (BB) for 2 nights. And it was cheaper! Guess I'll be hoofin' it back to my room in the rain, but #worth it! Looking forward to reporting back.

As an English person, I am afraid you can't call it 'Afternoon Tea' unless it contains small cakes, scones and tiny sandwiches with the crusts cut off Usually cucumber sandwiches so it looks like they are getting there - just the scones now to complete it!

We have from the UK and have been coming to WDW for approx 20 years, buying into DVC last year. Because we are going to save so much money going forward (!) we have treated ourselves to a few extras for our next trip in May including our first ever cruise (on The Wish) plus 2 nights club level at WDW on top of our 'normal' stay. We did a night club level at the Poly last November and loved it so booked 2 nights for next May. However, some vlogs scared me with the busyness of the pools now the Tower has been opened. The main pool area was so busy it was just at our limit of tolerance in November so decided to change our booking to 2 nights at the Boardwalk instead. BUT, I am the queen of upgrading our bookings so yesterday called WDTC 'just to check' on the availability of a club level room at the Grand Floridian and ended up changing our 2 nights to a club level theme park room there!!! I will have to hide the invoice from my husband I think

Looking forward to it a great deal, we stayed 5 nights in Big Pine Key last November renting DVC with a theme park view so are not new to the Grand Floridian but new to club level there.

When I changed the booking the CM did advise me of work going on and it also showed on the amended invoice. I know of the work being done at the moment with the new bar in the lobby but May is a heck of a long time away for work to be still going unless more is planned,

Arrived yesterday to the Poly for my 60th Birthday Bash! Walking boot and all. 2 weeks ago fractured my fibula. Great timing for my vacation plans. NOT! LOL! Got first floor which hells with the scooter I rented. Arrived around 9:30 am. Room was not ready text while checking in. But she said she can move us to another room that was ready.

@2vets hope you’re enjoying your vacation. Any new advice about the noise level in the lounge or rooms? We’ll be there in 2 weeks, resort view room, trying to decide if I should change our room type.

Has anyone done club level at BWI recently? They used to have a chef from Trattoria Al Forno who would come in there a few nights a week and make some on-demand pasta dishes in the Innkeeper club lounge. Do they still do that at all?

No. I was told it was due to safety issues/fire codes.

Nope. That never came back after the remodel.

The Chef visiting the Inn Keeper's Club at the BWI has now gone into the history books. Also no more Crepes on Sunday's. It turned out that they were violating the Fire Code rules and regulations. Oops.

Finally getting to try SSR. My dentist called me yesterday with 62 points that have to be used by the end of Sept. (He is also a friend of my husband but I didn’t get to know him until 2022 when I moved to his office.)

So I could do a 1 bed villa preferred view or 2 bedroom resort view. Since there isn’t any real views there I picked bigger space.

Working on my MYOCL for that resort. I really am not familiar with it. I know I’ll be close to DS but I need to check on menus and QS options n such.

We loved our MYOCL at SSR! I’m considering it for a relaxing pre-stay to an extended family week where no one will ever be on the same page. Walking to DS almost daily was fantastic for some food or cocktails. We took the boat to French Quarter for beignets and Yeehaw Bob. We had zero issues with the buses…except for the night we may have overindulged on a monorail crawl, got off at the wrong stop, and got hopelessly lost. Luckily a CM came by on a golf cart and sensed we were distressed . She took pity on us and drove us to our building - we weren’t even close! We had an excellent dinner in the Turf Club Lounge and thought the QS was good for breakfast. I hope you have a great trip!
