Ear stapling and weight loss

Has anyone done this? I am doing it next week. It is supposed to help with weight loss and headaches. I am getting it done for the headaches as I have wayyyyy to many. I spend more on my headache medicine than anything else.

Where would you have to go to have something like that done? Is it done at piercing places? I have never heard of it.

In a town about 30 min from where I live there are NP that do it at a family clinic.

There are also certified people who do it as well, but I wanted a nurse. Several hair salons around here are sending people to be certified. last night we had several nurses from a clinic about an hour away that came to a tanning salon last night--did not go because they were not NP's. A

I've heard that sewing your lips together works the best

We have a lady here who has lost 86.......YES 86 pounds from this. She has not done anything, no kind of diet. She just recently started excersising because of the excess flab. It completely made her stop wanting to eat.

Oh and I'm getting it done next week too! If it doesn't work I'm only out $30 dollars.

I posted on it 2 weeks ago I think. The person I heard of who had it done actually all ready had it removed because she said it CAUSED her to have headaches!!!

BE VERY CAREFUL!!! I'm a nurse in Jackson and have had to take a few of my friends out. They get dislodged and irritate the ear. It's not the lobe that gets pierced it's the part that covers the opening to your ear. The girls I had to take out got red and infected looking in a week. One had to go on anitbiotics and almost had to have it cut out as it misfired going in. On a more positive note, a co-worker has quit smoking COMPLETELY by the same method. I have heard mixed reviews to the reults, just be aware that the staples need to be protected and cleaned very carefully.
