Ear Protection Muffs, NRR 22 or NRR 25??

It's not a real cannon that shoots an actual cannonball, you know. It's a prop with an "explosion" that is comparable to fireworks. It's, like, 3 seconds of noise.
Ha HA! I am clueless!!!! Someone said it was a real cannon !!!! How can I be so naive. I have never been to the show and I have not been to Disney in 7 yrs!!! As you can see Im a worry wart.

Great! Do you think Wishes is louder?? Maybe I should still bring them in case for that. On 4th of July I had my ears covered the entire time and did not enjoy it this year, and we kind of far back. Also we went to a loud parade with tons of fire engine sirens, and yet again I had my fingers in my ears. :)
Wishes is not that loud. You're really worrying way more than you need to :)

So basically I could carry on a conversation during the show without screaming to be heard? Like you do at a club.

hmm if those things really bother your ears that bad then sounds like you DO have some kind of sensitivity.

Maybe??? They say some people are not as sensitive then others because they already have some slight partial hearing loss thay they dont realize. Who knows???? But I do think Fireworks at 4th of July were too loud for me, unless Im just more sensitive to sound since I had the experience at a concert last year where it definitely was too loud. My ears were stuffy and rang a little after. In the parade, The fire engines were right by us, and they didnt let up. I hated it!!
Although, fire engine decibals are really high, esp when you are standing right next to them. And up the street at the parade they always set off a rifle or something, and it was so loud, my one ear rang for a few seconds after it went off.

i'm visually impaired and have been since birth so i have a heightened sense of hearing.
a fire engine siren blaring non stop right in front of me would make me put my fingers in my ears but on the other hand i absolutely love loud fireworks. it would very well just be that they are different types of sounds.
i can assure you that wishes and fantasmic are not very loud. i could hold a conversation with someone next to me without having to yell.

Wishes is not as loud as our community fireworks show. There aren't any of the fireworks that just make the continuous super-loud booming noises. My three-year-old wasn't the least bit bothered by Wishes, even at 15 months. But, if you are worried, just bring the headphones so that you have them if you need them.

That said, I am the guy who doesn't mind looking goofy and wears hearing protection while mowing the lawn or using the snowblower so I don't need to crank up the earbud music (or particularly spoken language like podcasts / ball games) so loud.
Tangent alert: Are you saying you wear hearing protectors over your earbuds while mowing or running the snowblower? Interesting idea, I'll have to try it, since I like to listen to podcasts/audiobooks while mowing. Though I use an electric mower which isn't as bad.

Dh does this also.

To the OP: I have noise issues, they really bother me and I get agitated with loud/repetitive/high pitch/low pitch noises, but I had no problems with any of the nighttime shoes. I think Wishes might have been slightly loud, but not as bad as 4th of July at home.
