Not sure if you want them for noise control, but if that's the case, we used shooting headsets. They are plastic and the muffler covers the entire ear, no chance of falling out or not fitting. (They look like the old stereo headphones of the 70's!) DS8 and DS6 used them for all the indoor shows and Fantasmic a couple of years ago, which were all quite loud for them. We have used them in movie theaters, too. And (ok, I'll admit this) Monster Truck Rallies, which are deafening. We just hooked them on the handle of the stroller to carry them, and had more than one dad make a comment about how he wished he had some for his kids. Shooting headsets are for target practice at shooting ranges, and can be found at any sporting goods store, and I have heard Walmart, too. About $10. We have tried the little rubber earplugs that you twist and shove into the ear, but never could get them to stay in..and they don't keep out the sound worth a hoot, either.
I always carry the wax-like swimmer's ear plugs for my DD. She is very sensitive to loud sounds and they work well for her while still allowing her to hear some of what is going on.
