Ear Plug Users! Looking for the best, most comfortable ones.

On vacation I have to wear ear plugs in order to sleep. I have tried many brands...but I am still looking for the most comfortable pair that is also great at filtering out noise like snoring. Some of them hurt my ears or make me feel congested and cause ME to snore. Thank you in advance!

If you're having trouble finding comfortable earplugs, have you considered getting custom sleep plugs made yet? I don't know about Missouri, but in California they usually run around $100 for a set and they should last you for years!

You can also ask about AQ or Aquanot swim plugs. They should run a bit cheaper than sleep plugs and you can get dual purpose out of them. The main difference is just that they fill up the ear a bit more.

I have the best luck with the foam ones that you roll between your fingers, insert, and hold a few seconds while they expand inside the ear canal. The yellow, marshmallow-shaped ones stay put better and are more comfortable than the torpedo shaped ones. Softer foam perhaps?? For me the plunger style and the wax were very uncomfortable.

I can highly recommend custom sleep plugs! Had a set made years ago and can't imagine life without them. Due to nature of what I do for a living(entertainer) I'm constantly traveling overseas After long flights, drives, trains what ever...the second I reach my destination I'm immediately throw into full gear Having to do interviews, press meetings,showcases etc So I need every bit of sleep during Travel...so that I'm ready to go the second I get there As I don't even see a hotel until late hours of the night. Or, if I do..it's a quick dump of bags and shower and off we go. Also,you will be amazed at how many hotels are noisy as well Custom sleep plugs have made my life so much better. So much that I have several sets of them made up. Just in case I lose them or forget them. Second I step foot on a plane the ear plugs go in and don't come out until we land Even after 14 hours of wearing them...don't even notice I have them in....expect for the lack of noise. Since these are custom made/molded to your ear they fit perfectly. Do yourself a favor a make the small investment in a set. Your life will be forever changed.
