We just received our tickets for our honeymoon today. We are so excited!!! I just have one question, it seems that the walt disney travel company has gone to e-tickets for the plane tickets. This will be my first flight, so I am just curious what is a e-ticket? How do you pick them up do you just give them your flight itinerary and they will give you your boarding pass. Is it something I should worry about.

thanks

e-tickets are easy to use. At the airport there should be a kiosk for the airline you are flying on. You just have to put a credit card in the kiosk, it will recognize you, ask a few simple questions and then a boarding pass will be issued. At the airposrt I fly out of the kiosks are available right outside of the parking garage and in the terminal itself. Of course if you don't feel comfortable with the kiosk, you can always get in line and have one of the ticket agents issue you a boarding pass. You should still receive a confirmation through snail mail or e-mail from Disney, your travel agent or the airline directly. Good luck and have a great time.

I fly alot for business and pleasure and have used e-tickets almost exclusively for the past 4 or 5 years. Airlines are now charging extra for paper tickets. There is one big advantage to e-tickets - you don't have to worry about losing them. As long as you have your flight #, they can give you a boarding pass by showing id, it isn't even necessary to show your confirmation. I've used the e-ticket kiosk on my last few flights, it's very quick. I just insert my USAir Dividend Miles card and my flight information automatically comes up. Just hit confirm on a couple screens and the boarding pass pops out. If you have checked luggage, the tags will print behind the counter and the airline personnel will attach them to your luggage.

E tickets are the way to go. You can just go to the ticket counter with your drivers license and they will pull up the reservation and issue boarding passes.

Or depending on your airport you can go directly to the gate and they will issue the boarding passes. Check your luggage at the curb. If you check luggage at the curb have a copy of your itinerary to show the skycap.
