E-ticket Confirmation from Delta?

When you book an E-ticket on-line through Delta, how long does it generally take for the confirmation to come in the mail?

I always get it emailed to me instead of waiting for it in snail mail.

I booked on the Delta website last night and got a Song flight for December. I printed the Delta confirmation, but when I got the Song confirmation for the actual Song flight, it came in a download file, and I am having trouble printing. I will try again later. I do have my Delta confirmation so that sould be ok.
I usually use email confirmations, I don't ask for snail mail receipts.

Since it was my first time buying over the website, I called Delta to see if I would get a confirmation in the mail - Delta person said no. And when I told them I couldn't print the attached file on my e-mail confirmation (I could call it up but could not highlight it to print) she said all I would need is the printed boarding pass that you print 24 hours before the flight.

Does it sound right to you "web savvy" people?

with E tickets all you need to do present yourself to the skycap/tickets agent/or e tickets machine in the proper amount of time. The info helps the person , but is not needed. They look up your name and all the info is on the computer.
Having said that, I always check to make sure my reservation is in the system and bring the receipt with me. Computers can lose info and it's nice to have a paper back up.
The important thing is to have your boarding pass. In a lot of airports you cannot pass thru security without it.

I booked 3 e-tickets with Delta last week for our trip in December and got my email confirmation almost immediately.

Thanks everyone. I called Delta and they just sent me the e-mail confirmation. I was getting a little worried since I hadn't received anything.
