e-rewards?

I just received an invitation thru blockbuster video online that invites me to join e-rewards. It is free. To me it sounds like mypoints with reading the emails. Has anyone else heard of this or has even done this? Thanks for any advice.

I've been doing this program for a while, but right now I'm wondering why I bother. All the redemptions except maybe Blockbuster seem to require you to spend more $$ than the reward you're redeeming. The award I was going to go for - Omaha Steaks $$$ off on purchase - has been out of stock for quite a while even though it's listed on the site. The cash out amounts are $25 & $50. Also, points expire on this program if you don't redeem them. In short, I'm about to drop it unless someone can point out something I may be missing because I just don't think it's worth the short amount of time I spend on it.

We don't rent a lot of DVD'S or videos, but if you do it might be worth it. I think the $25 level gives you 1 free rental a month for 6 months.

I have accumulated over $200 from them since March 2001. My dollars were set to expire on 8/1/04, but they let me renew my membership so that they don't expire till 6/30/05. The one time I have emailed them, they were very prompt in their reply (less than 24 hours). I have not yet cashed out, but am planning to redeem my dollars for Hilton HHonors points. When I first started the program, they let you redeem $250 for 25,000 Hilton points. Now they only give you 3,000 points for every $50. I currently have enough to cash out for 12,000 Hilton points, but have yet to do so. I guess I'm hoping that they might up their rewards amount back to what it used to be....(wishful thinking, I know). However, I have to say that it's been relatively easy to accumulate dollars for very little effort, and that's why I've been sticking with it.

I just got an invitation to join them also. I figure that I will give it a try. It seems relatively easy. I would use the blockbuster movie rental coupons. How often do you receive emails and how long does it take to get enough for a movie rental? I signed up for the most emails that I could.
