E night ?s-please help

I have read varying info regarding e- nights. I am hoping to get the correct info from some of you
I have Park hopper plus tickets,MUST I use them on the day I want to do e-night,I was hoping to do a relaxing pool day then to e-night.
Are there any characters ever out on Enights,Disney characters that is(not to be confused with the characters I have given birth to )

Yes, you MUST use one day from your park hopper ticket when doing an e-ride night. You purchase the e-ride night ticket at your resort, but exchange it into the wristband INSIDE the MK. Hence, you must use your park hopper ticket to get into MK first before you can exchange the e-ride ticket for a wristband.

Also, there are typically some characters in the courtyard in front of the castle that you can interact with. For our e-ride night last November, we had the Fab 4 available for pictures and autographs.

Bothofus, Yes, you must use your hopper to go into the park. The enight ticket only allows you to do the e-night event. It does not gain you entrance to the park.

Also, there are usually characters about. I've typically see Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale and ususally they're in the hub area of Main Street.

We had to use our ticket to get into the park and then exchange the e-night ticket for our wrist band. They will not let people ride if they do not have a wristband. E-night was amazing. We were able to ride several times in a row: Buzz and Space mountain with out much of a wait. Then we went over to Splash mountain and rode twice in a row(they let us stay on). It was somewhat eerie though walking through the park with few or no people. I even got my DH to dance with me down Main Street.
