I understand you can e-mail reservation requests to MS, is this true?

If yes, who gets priority when the request is for a very desired day---the e-mail request (which could arrive several days prior to the 11 month window) OR the phoned request on the exact day of the 11 month window??

my guess would be the caller.

Thanks.....Johnnie

The phone will get priority. They state a 2 day turn around but there are times when it's longer and other when it's less. If you want something you feel you need to call day bu day, call. Email will not allow you to get the room ahead of a person on hold waiting to request the same room. It is however a great way to do most transactions. Much quicker and gives you a record.

I have done the email thing a couple of times but it has taken a few emails back and forth sometimes to get it all square. I think it is more productive if you just pick up the phone and call with all your dates and get it done in one call. The last time I used email it took a better part of a week to get confirmed for a reservations because of the delays in responding. they say within 2 days but sometimes it's more or less.

Hi

I have always made my ressies via phone and used the e-mail facility to request things I may have forgotten like top floor.......a particular room etc., or questions not relating to my ressie. Disney's turnaround has been one day on e-mail as of late for me ( I guess they are not swamped yet) but allow two days as stated.

Good luck!

I have used email and phone for reservations. Email has been awful with DVC, phone has been great.

With email, it takes several days for them to open your request, they offer you a room, you immediately respond, they take several days to read the response, at which point, the room originally offered is gone, so they make an alternative offer and the pattern repeats. It is very time consuming, frustrating, and you are far less likely to get what you want.

I always phone now. Even at the busiest times I have been on hold no more than 5 minutes. You can discuss different options and MS is quite helpful and always pleasant to deal with. You will know where you stand in a few minutes and forget about it until time to travel.

Unlike online reservation systems for airlines and hotels, with DVC, the phone will give faster and better results.

We always use the phone. Hopefully, DVC will "someday" get with the program and allow us to make reservations directly on-line!!!!!!!!!!!!
