E-mailing Disney is pointless

I am so frustrated. Every time I e-mail Disney they never actually answer my questions or really help! Then they always want me to call even though I always say I am in Austria and calling is not so easy (I hate using Skype).
Oh and all sorts of services apparently all do nothing over e-mail such as discussing a cake.

It's 2014 people! Get with the program! GRRR.

Ok. That was my rant. Thanks!

:sad2: Sorry to hear you've had trouble. I understand you don't want to telephone or use Skype--is instant messaging a possibility for you? I've IM'd with Disney customer service reps a couple of times, and have found them to be responsive and helpful.

Hope you are able to resolve the problem. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks. The chat option is never available. It always says I am outside the times but I do check and make sure I am well within the supposedly available times. That is another frustration. Maybe they just don't let it work for people outside the US? It's just bugging me because sometimes I have questions I don't expect people on the DIS can answer such as how much a specific cake costs! :)

Perhaps you have a disser friend who could help get the information you need? They could ask about the particular cake you're interested in and relay the answer to you. As I said, just a thought.

Have a great visit to the world :)

I am in Australia and the chat option is never available for me either. I purchase prepaid calling cards to call. It's so much cheaper than my phone. Had I used my phone I would have spent approx $1200 on calls so far. Disney just doesn't realise. Between multiple calls and being on hold for 30 minds before getting through to a person, it is challenging for overseas customers who are also calling in the middle of the night due to time differences.

In Australia as well
And certainly try to avoid calling...due to the cost

However, we use skype and have skype accounts with local USA number
Rates are very cheap to call
However, we have a monthly unlimited subscription. Which has been a life saver for us. And anyone within the USA calls our local number and it's just like them calling anyone in the USA.
We can also have the calls forward to our mobile phone...so it's very convenient

Highly recommend looking into Skype
We find it allot cheaper than prepaid cards
And with unlimited minutes...were not stressing on hold
