For the first time I received an email from Disney offering me an $89/night value resort until June 3/06! Can't help but wonder why all of a sudden I'm getting one...

Could it be that for the first time in years we didn't travel to Disney for March Break?

Weird...

Not using it though because my daughter will be working down there and we can get a 50% room discount! WooHoo!

I got that one last week as well & then today, I got another one for $79/night...same dates.

This one says at the bottom: "If you do not want to receive future promotional communications from The Walt Disney Company (Canada) Limited regarding Walt Disney World or Disney Cruise Line products, services or special offers..." so makes me wonder if this one is for Canadians. The two offers were sent to different e-mail addresses.

I got the same one at the same time that i was reading your post. I kid you not. And to top it all off we have been to Disney probably 8times and this is the first time we have ever gotten one!!!

I got the $79.00 one as well! Don't know if I can use it yet. Nothing on the Moderates though I really won't complain, just happy to be noticed!

Sometimes when you call they do have other special rates for the Mods & Deluxes as well. If I have a chance later (and am in the mood to go thru all the hassle with a CM), I might call & see if there are other rates. Right now we have an AP rate at the POFQ for $119 which is pretty good for Regular season. I'm guessing that if there is a rate available for the Mods it will be at $30 off rack rate. This $79 rate for Values is the same as the Florida Residents rate & that's what their rate is for Mods.

I'll post if I find out anything...if anyone else decides to call...be sure to post.

I got both of those too!!!
In fact I have got about one a month for the last little while, but nothing we could use all for value resorts.
I am just glad to be noticed, I rather like getting emails from Disney!

Got the $79 deal, too. Unfortunately.....the Board really frowns on teachers heading to WDW during the school year, so, it is for naught. It was good to actually see one, though! If only they'd extend it into the summer.... Yeah, like that would happen!

I got an email pin code too for Values starting at $89. It's just not a deal - $10 off. I called and got a quote for CSR king bed room, $532.00 for 3 nights in May... I'm pretty sure if I enrolled in CAA I could do better than that.

I just called, we are going during that time and my girlfriend received the $79 offer. It's for room only deal. I asked if we could book separately (rorom and tickets) and she said we could but then we wouldn't be eligible for the dining plan (which we've booked). You can only purchase the dining plan if you're on a package which means room and tickets and there is no way to add the dining plan if you're not on a package. She did say the dining plan is a signifigant savings. I'm sure it's a system thing. How they enter and keep track of their promotion codes.

If someone better than I can figure out a way to negotiate this, go for it. I tend to back down after they explain their side. This would represent a $140 savings US for us on a 7 night stay so it is a reasonable savings. Are we saving more than $140 on the dining plan, well I'm not sure?

It depends on what type of eating you want to do. For me personally dining is not worth it because I won't take advantage of every meal. and you end up paying for it anyway. I'd take a look at your itinerary and figure out if you'll REALLY take advantage of it.

I called out of badness after I got this PIN CODE as well. We have reservations for April 23-29 at CSR. She told me the PIN can be used for all resorts, it'll give you a discount of a certain amount. Unfortunatly the Mods are all booked up for that time so I can't use my PIN unless I want to go to a value resort. ALthough she said she could get me a Pool-view room at Animal Kingdom Lodge i believe it was for $200 a night, but I told her I"d keep my CSR room It was disappointing, I was SO happy when I got the PIN Ah well better luck next time

I thought I'd call again just to see if we could get an upgrade but no luck. They do not combine offers so I was unable to use the pin and they do not grant upgrades, they can only be done at the hotel by the manager.
Oh well at least I tried. I'm actually getting a little gutsy and asking for things, where as before I'd be so timid I'd get embarrassed by just thinking of asking for something.

Also the lady did say this was a random mailing done by marketing so not every one would receive this offer. I'm thinking that's why the 2 $89 and then $79 discount offers.

I too have now received the 89 dollar code...even though there is no way I can go, I found myself trying to work it out in my head...

Oh well. Maybe it's a sign of things to come.
