Dyson DC07 or DC14????

There must be some weird vaccum vibe here on the CB b/c my Bissel crapped out last night too. At first I thought it was the belt, changed it, then it started to make the horrible cruching noise and the house smelled terrible for hours. Now I need a new vac. I have a long haired kitty so I thought I'd go for an animal Dyson.

For those of you that own either of these is one model better than the other? (I looked on past threads and couldn't find the answer to this question)

My MIL and SIL both have Dyson Animal vacs and love them, but I'm not sure which one they have. They have such glowing comments on it that I am always bugging my DH for one for Xmas or birthday even though I have a central vac system! Here's the Consumer Reports list (rated from best to worst), and the DC15 Dyson Ball is actually rated higher than the 20th DC07 and the 21st DC14 but the DC14 "Full Access" is marked as a CR Best Buy:
