Hi all, this is an extremely specific question, but I just received a Dyson Airwrap and I would like to use it on the Fantasy when I cruise in February. Has anyone ever used one? Am I even permitted to bring it on the ship? Thanks in advance for any help.

What's an air wrap? I have 2 Dyson vacuums that I love. Is this what they call their new hairdryer?
Edit to add: I just did a search to see what an airwrap is. I would think it would be fine. They allow hairdryers, curling wands/straighteners so I don't see why this wouldn't be allowed. It looks like a great hair tool, I may need one!!

Lucky ducky!

I just brought mine on the Fantasy in early December and used it daily with no issues.

Oh That thing looks awesome! I have the Dyson blowdryer and love it!
Need that airdrop now!
No issues with bringing it, I have brought a Baby Bliss and a straightener with no issues.

I don't know why there would be a problem taking it.
I don't know why you would take it though because after about 20 minutes in the humidity and wind it will be all undone.

True, probably why the "Cruise hair, Don't care" hats and t-shirts are so popular:)

DW and I have fun on Caribbean cruises people watching as women make the transition the first night or two of working on their hair, to just leaving their hair the way it grows out of their head.

$500?!? That sounds like Dyson alright...

Dyson products are really expensive, but their products work really well and from my experience last(unlike most products that are made nowdays). I bought a Dyson vacuum around 15 years ago. It took 2 tumbles down our staircase(my fault) and wasn't damaged. I now keep it upstairs and bought another a few years ago for our downstairs. The old one still works just as well as the newer one. I'm just waiting for them to come up with a clothes washer and dryer!!!

We also used ours on the Dream in early December with no issues. Had to be used at the desk, however.

I wish my original Dyson had the same resiliency as yours. My first one I also bought about 15 years ago and loved it, until it took a tumble down the stairs and shattered. I bought a newer, Animal one and it was horrible. The canister was so small I had to empty it half way through one room, and it clogged despite their claim that their vacuums never clog. The retail price on my second one was over $400 and I got it on sale for $300, but that was the worst $300 I ever spent. It's sitting in my basement no longer used, while I adore my $120 Bissel. I'll never buy another Dyson product, and definitely not spending $500 on something to style my hair.

But I agree with the posters that said you have to use the outlet by the desk to get enough amps to make something like this work.
