DxDP/Large Group/Tipping

I was reading through the brochure about the DxDP and saw the following:

"Gratuities are not included unless otherwise indicated. An
automatic 18% gratuity charge will be added to your bill for parties
of 6 or more."

We have 6 people over 10 and 2 aged 3-9. We also have 2 who are under 3. Does that mean for all the dinner reservations I made for our "Grand Gathering" party (I was in charge of reservations), we are going to have the tip automatically placed on our credit card????

I don't mind tipping, and I don't mind 18% (For good service, we sometimes even tip more) so that's not my issue. I'm gulping at the thought that hubby and I will have to cover ALL the tips for the whole party for every meal.

Is this possibly correct?!?!?

We have six in our family. The last time we went they brought us a bill with each meal for the tip to pay as we would like. It wasn't automatically applied to the credit card.

However, the PP is correct. The 18% is added to the bill, and it's up to you to pay it as you would like. If you have more questions about tipping, please direct them to the Tipping Info thread. The thread guidelines are in the first post.
