I am taking DS to WDW for a surprise trip for his birthday in June! This will be our first time going in the summer season. We are staying at Pop for 7 nights.

I was thinking of upgrading from DDP to DxDDP so we don't have any long waits at the CS places...

Any thoughts? (We are doing DxDDP in December so I know it is a lot of food :rotfl: )

I was considering the same thing for our 20th anniversary trip next June 30th, but I am thinking it is just going to be too hot for all of that food.

Now are you talkeing eary or late June because I have done late May and very early June trips and had no problem with food and the heat but DH and I honeymooned at the GF June 30-July 7 1989 and we were miserable eating anything it seemed.:confused3

I guess if you did sit down breakfasts and 2 credit signature dinners it wouldn't be so bad.

Mid June (9th-16th).

This is our 6th trip since 2005 (with another scheduled Dec 2009) so we are not commando style touring. I don't think we will miss the time out of the parks for meals. I was just thinking that the A/C midday would be a good break...

I am not sure what to expect crowdwise, other than it will be more crowded than we are used to :confused3

The biggest mistake we made when planning our dining choices for this past Sept is that we did not take into consideration the HEAT.
Looking over all the menus and planning our meals sounded wonderful in Feb...but it was a different story when we actually sat down to eat them after a day of walking around a park in 90 weather.
Another tip: Plan your 'heavy' meals earlier in your vacation. We waited until day 7 of our vacation to eat at LeCellier. After 6 days of eating out 3 times a day...then walking around Epcot all day in STEAMY heat...our heavy steak meal @ 6:30pm didn't feel to yummy (despite it being delicious!).:sad2:
Check the menus to be sure they have some lighter options that you might enjoy and see if it makes $$$sense to dine there. We ate in Italy one night and I felt like something 'light' because of the heat so I didn't order what I thought I would and I was dissapointed in my meal.
