I can't get into this show. I can't stand spending my time watching bad dancing (sometimes it's downright embarrassing), and I rarely know who many of the "stars" are anyway. The only season I spent a lot of time watching was when Melissa Rycroft was on, because she was such a great dancer and fun to watch.

But I don't see Kate Gosselin as any better or worse than some of the mix of "stars" who have been on previous seasons. I say go for it.

Those kids will be filmed again and appear on DWTS..as a live feed or in the audience. Mark my words. That's really my only problem with her being on the show. She could never make it on her own, the eight have to be central to her money making ventures.

I am much more grossed out by Pam anderson who has already shown the world everything she has, (multiple times) so the skimpy outfits are the least of the issue I have with her. She is simple trash IMHO
As far as Kate Gosselin, well that should be fun, someone likes that girl, because she got on every daytime talk show and still garners ratings...

I always find it so interesting that so many of the "gorgeous people" have no rhythm thats why I LIKE the show.....
By the way, who is the new co host?

So according to Radar-online, she will be practicing at home.
If she needs to be there only 2 days, that isn't so bad.
But I sure hope she is immune to jet-lag,
otherwise "her" head will explode.

It doesn't matter when she goes she gets paid for the entire season. You only get a bonus if you come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd....which I doubt she could ever do. PA girls can not dance

I don't know, Kate on this season... I want to see Buzz Aldrin and Shannen Doherty but I just am not sure if I can bring myself to watch.

Very excited about this season and also happy that its only 11 people and not 16, that was just too many last season.

I was happy with "Brenda", Neicy and Evan Lycachek!!!

It should be very interesting. I am just PRAYING that Kate DOES NOT get Derek. He is my favorite Professional and I would be devastated if he got her.

I'm so sick of the Kate bashing! Sure, having the show has gotten to her head. I can agree with anyone on that...BUT given the situation, I think if any of you had eight children, SIX of them of the same age, a lot of us may have found ourselves in the same situation! I'm not saying everyone, but really, if you had a show and people started to enjoy and started taking pics of you everywhere you went, etc., I'm sure it would go to a lot of our heads!
Yes, she does have her nursing degree and she could go back into that. But really, how many of you would take THAT drastic of a cut and pay when you know you still have to support eight children? 8 kids to go threw college, 8 kids to buy cars for, 8 kids to take to Disney World, 8 kids to do anything with! I'm not saying you have to buy a car for every child, but come on. There's a budget board on this site for a reason. The avg. fam on here prob has 2-3 children and it's a struggle to go to Disney. Let alone 8 kids! And she no longer has her show for support. I would take whatever I could get too!

As for octomom, I feel NO pitty for her! She didn't have to continue to have children WHILE she was on welfare! Our taxes our paying for her to have kids...ridiculous!

You've pretty much summed up my feelings.

I've only watched DWTS when Kelly Osborne was on it but will now watch it because of Kate.
