DW and I recently checked into using AAA to book our next trip, and found that we could save about 10% if we became members and booked a package deal through them. Knowing that the number of rooms offered at the various discounts is always limited, I booked it, hoping we'd be able to get approval for the vacation time before the 14 day courtesy period was up and we had to either pay the deposit or cancel it. 
I was able to get approval for the vacation time right away, but it took much longer for DW. We waited anxiously, wondering if the three different management levels at her workplace would sign off on it. Would we be able to go?
A few minutes ago, she called me to say she'd gotten approval for the time off!
So now, I'm off to set up some countdown clocks . . .
