I just saw this on the WDW official website.

Hello All
I just looked at WDW official site, and i did not see this , where do i go?

I would not be surprised to see Disney close early tomorrow as well. Sea World and Universal are closing at 3pm, the airport is closing at noon and they expect the outter edge of the storm to be affecting us sometime tomorrow. Personally I think that Disney is not being as proactive on this one (they did more for Charley and it was nothing compared to Frances). Many CM's have damage to their homes from Charley that they need to tend to before Frances arrives, the governor has asked that people be off the roads as early as possible tomorrow... if they stay open I think it should be for resort guests utilizing WDW transportation only. No offense to the off site guests, but the roads in Cemtral FLorida are really bad right now with people trying to evacuate that I don't think we should be adding more cars of people that are just heading out for fun.

Of course this is my opinion and I am sure that some will disagree but my house is in the path of Frances (luckily I am off tomorrow). I don't think that WDW will have many CM's come in to work tomorrow as there is still so much preperation that needs to be done and the traffic issues.

I just talked to a friend (actually, my son's ex gf) who is in the college program and works at MGM. She said that as of now, Disney is to close at 7 p.m. on Friday, closed on Saturday and open at 3 p.m. on Sunday, depending on the damage. But, she also said that speculation is that they will close earlier.

She said that last night, her and her roommates went to get flashlights, etc. All they could buy was candles and water. The shelves at the stores were nearly bare.

I am worried about her. She's 19 years old and 900 miles from home. She was going to head north after work this evening, but said the traffic on the interstate was barely moving and she's afraid of being stuck in her car when the storm hits.

I'm saying a prayer for everyone down there. Good luck and stay safe.

This is (and has been) a crazy waiting game. They just said on the 11 o clock news that the storm is now supposed to make landfall at 8PM on Saturday and take 24 hours to cross the state so WDW would be in the path almost all day on Sunday...

What I find interesting is that no one really took Charley seriously, Central Floridians really have never had this expereince (my family went through Andrew so I take every Hurricane seriously). My hubby told me during Charley that I was "overreacting"... After seeing the path Charley left and looking at Frances hubby (and most of Florida) is now being serious (which is good...never can be too prepared). I just pray that everyone makes it through this, possesions can be replaced, lives can't... Good luck to everyone here in FL...
