DVD Recorders - ??????

I've been looking for a DVD Recorder that has a hard drive. I'm currently looking at the RCA DRC7005N or DRC8000N. Does anybody have any suggestions or comments on what I should be looking for. I'm clueless because this will be my first one. Thanks!!

I believe that you need the service when using TiVo or Replay and it's usually between 12.00 to 15.00 / mo or 299.00 liffetime.

The DVD-R models you use like a VCR and record as you want to with no fee.

the SAMSUNG, RCA and Panasonic recordes on BUY.COM. The SAMSUNG is 354.00 and according to their description it is also RAM. The RCA is 299.00 and the Panasonic is 419.00.
