DVD Player

Are the rooms equiped with a DVD player? I wanted to bring a couple of Disney DVDs to have the characters autograph and then we could watch them in the evening. Thanks for any help!!

I believe that DVD players are only in the club level rooms.

The only rooms I know of that have them are in the deluxe villa resorts (DVC resorts). They're not available on request, they only way you'd have one is if one was installed in the room.

Could you bring a portable DVD player or laptop with a DVD drive to watch them?

We had a DVD player in our CL room at the Poly.

I always bring our portable DVD player and the cords to hook it to the TV. DD uses the DVD player on the plane flights so it serves a dual purpose.

I knew they were in DVC ... but did not know they are not in other resorts .. esp deluxe?? I would think they would put them in there... hmmm.

Disney isn't dumb. There are no DVD players in the rooms for the same reason the cable selection is so bad- Disney doesn't want you spending your time in your room. They want you out of your room and spending your hard earned cash doing other things.

As some PP's mentioned, the only rooms with DVD players are DVC villas and club level rooms.

DVD players are inexpensive and smaller than years past. I would buy one and bring it along.

I just read that dvd players are prohibited. I really want to bring one - do they enforce this???
