DVD Player Hooked up to Stereo

I guess there are connections you need to make from the DVD player to the stereo - do you have these wires going across the room? Or am I figuring this out all wrong?

See if these help, Jodi. Also, your instruction manual that came with your specific DVD player should have details how to hook yours up to a stereo. Basically, the answer is, yes.

Ours is also hooked up through our stereo system we have, but we also have it set up that everything is in one place. I do believe you can hook it up to your TV w/o a stereo but I am not sure.
