DVD Playback Problems

I've been watching the Lost Season 1 DVD's and they've been playing fine, but when I get to the 5th disc, I've been having problems. About a halfway through, the image starts getting goofy. Sometimes it will pause and skip. Sometime little squares start appearing and distorting the color. I've looked everywhere online but can't find a single thing that says what causes this. Can't be the DVD player since we've watched the first four discs without problem. I tried seeing if there was any dust on the back of the disc but didn't see any.

Anyone know how to fix this? I'm so diappointed because we wanted to finish the series tommorow and would hate to skip an episode.

Where did you buy it from? I dont think that you can exchange DVD's sadly but usually it would be a mess up on the DVD

I saw something about registering the DVD? It mentioned a "Buena Vista DVD Replacement" program?? But that kind of stuff usually takes weeks. Is there some way to clean the DVD or something?
