DVD Burning Software

I've been trying to burn some of my photos onto a DVD and making it look nice with music and nice transitions between the photos.

I found I had InterWin DVD Creator or something like that on my computer, but when I try to burn my project to the DVD, the programme crashes but not sure why!!

Do you know of any other programmes (preferably free ones that I could download) that would allow me to burn my photos to DVDs and allow me to have music in the background?

Try Microsoft Photostory 3. I don't know if you can add music but it is free

Most such programs are not free.

You can download a 30-day trial of several. I'd check out Nero first, as it gives you the best disc burning in addition to pretty good video editing, slideshow creation, etc. You can sometimes find it for pretty cheap in the Sunday ads.

I'm no expert on this, but the software you need to create the slideshow with the music and transitions may or may not have the software needed to actually burn the DVD. If you go for one of the packages you pay for, like Nero, it will probably be all you need. But I think I have seen some simple/free slidshow software that would create a video file for you but would not burn dvd's for you. Just something to keep in mind.

Have you made other DVDs using the burner on your computer without problems? If not, you may try going to the website for the manufacturer of your DVD burner and try downloading latest driver updates. Just a thought.
