DVD arrived today, now for the code????

Hi everyone! Well, the DVD I ordered over Easter weekend arrived today. I am now hoping for a 30-40%off code so I can book Poly.

On the DVD website I indicated I was interested in going in October.

Does that mean IF I get a code I will only be offered the value resorts for October and a % off for other months? Or have others been offered a % off (for any resort) for the month they indicated they want to go?????

When you want to go is irrelevant to the promotions they do i believe, maybe on a huge scale they take a bunch, then dont discount the times a bunch of people are going if they book rooms anyways.

Being on their mailing list will just open you up to possibly getting codes for the times they select. I just recieved a 40 percent off pin for 6 different times of the year, the october time was oct 19 - nov 1. It was for 40 percent off room only, I think that pin expires today though actually.

Sadly, lots of people get the DVD and never get a code, good luck to you though!

I got the DVD but no code. It seems most of the people that got the code with the DVD got it ahead of the DVD arriving, not after.

Thanks for the replies. I hope the code doesn't just come before the dvd! I saw the the code for some people expired today but I called and there was nothing attached to our names so I am just hoping we get something. I also ordered the dvd in my parent's names because they will be going with us. I hope one of us gets a code.

I order that blasted vacation planning DVD twice a year. I also order the ones for the cruise line and DVC. I fill out every survey they offer me and make sure I'm on their mailing lists. I have them check my email to make sure it is correct and noted that I do want info from them. I also have a Disney VISA. I go to WDW three-four times a year. I have an AP. However, I have never received a code.

I used AAA to book for December. We got a preffered a CBR for 132/night. Rack rate is 165/night. That comes out to about 20% savings. We went the same time last year and booked at ASMo. We got the first room at AAA rate but when we added a second room a week later there were no AAArooms left. They only offer a limited number of rooms at the discounted rate. Booking this trip this early there was still limited choices for me on resorts and room types at AAA rate.

I do believe you are right! I go every Dec, May, Sept and sometimes sneak in an extra Jan trip. I already have trips booked for May and again this Sept. I guess they know they have us hooked. However, I'm going to fool them this next Dec. I'm going on a cruise instead. You think their sophisticated computers might pick up on the fact that I'm missing one of my regular trips. Who knows maybe I'll get one of those elusive codes next year.

I am with you. We go twice a year with our AP's and spend lots of $$$. No code here either - ever . Maybe we should try universal for a year or two and see if Disney wants us back and gives us one of those lovely codes.

We actually got our code by having my gf order one to her mom's address since the vacations are always booked under my name. She got a code instantly for 40 percent. Different last name and everything. I'm hoping we get one we can use next time.

We are going in the beginning of Dec. , needed two rooms at AKL. I ordered the DVD and had my mother order as well. When we called to book trip both of us had codes attached to name, but nothing at AKL. We weren't willing to be flexible with dates or location so we booked with no code. But maybe sometime before december another code will be released and we will try and apply that to reservation.

I ordered 4 DVD's.... One in my maiden name, one in my married name for DH and me, one for my mom, and one for the IL's...

I have also ordered the DVD the past two years and received no codes! One day I thought I got one in the mail, but it turned out to only be an advertisement for DVC :-( I have decided to stop worrying about codes and just rent points from a DVC owner, that way I KNOW I can get a good deal and not have to worry about whether I'll ever get a code or not.

It came today!!!!! I got a 20% of code e-mailed to me today. It came from Disney Destinations. I am so excited. Every penny helps!
