DVD and Videos - $10 again

Jane of the Jungle & any other DVC member, if you have problems getting your DVC discount at any TDS in the US, please send an email to Member Services. They will forward the information to the CM in charge of DVC benefits. I used my DVC discount last night at a store in the same district as White Marsh - you should have received your discount!

Hi went to the Disney store today and bought lots of DVD's. I was able to use my Disney club card with no problem. The costumes and accessories were 33% off. The infant costumes were 50% off. Great DEAL....

BY the way I am in Miami Fl

Just wanted to thank the OP and all others for posting this great deal! I was able to Oliver & Co and Winnie the Pooh on DVD and Fox and the Hound on VHS. I was a bit disappointed because I wanted F & H on DVD, but I figured it still too good of a deal to pass up. They still had a fairly good selection at the Michigan Ave store in Chicago, but I imagine it was probably even better yesterday. They had more variety in video tapes than DVD's.

Did anyone else find it interesting that very few of the "biggies" were available on DVD? I went at 2 pm yesterday afternoon and was looking for both Toy Stories. There were none. And they only had 1 TS2 on VHS - no TS1. :(
I don't recall how many of the DVDs are "in the vault" but all they had seemed to be the direct to video ones.

We purchased the following DVDs--- Oliver and Company
Winnie the Pooh
Schoolhouse Rock
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command - The Adventure Begins
Return to Neverland

They had the following in DVD--
The Rollie Pollie Ollie direct to video offering that came out late Summer
3 Cabelleros
The Rookie
Cinderella II and Hunchback II
SnowDogs
Airbud
Tarzan and Jane

They did have many more titles in the VHS format. Hercules, Emperor's New Groove, Robin Hood, House of Mouse, Toy Story I/II and quite few more including all of the items that we got in the DVD format. We are no longer buying VHS tapes. The Winnie Pooh was a replacement for our VHS tape. All of the others were additions. I had been wanting to purchase the SR DVD so that was great. The Buzz movie is so average but our boys love it when we get it for them from the library. We usually try and stay away from the flat out remakes like PP, Cindy and HB. The only reason we got Return to Neverland is that Pan is their favorite character.

We would not have purchased what we did if it had not been for the $10 sale. We got 10% off with our DVC card. We also preordered Lilo and Stich in DVD and applied the $10 shopping card toward the purchase.

These type of sales are great for Disney to clear out the VHS stuff without taking a huge hit in the the DVD market. I would not expect them to have just out stuff like HB w/additional footage and Monsters, Inc available for $10.

I do know that great sales like this will have us checking in more regularly at the Disney Stores in our area.

We shopped at the Tri-County Mall in Springdale, Ohio, outside of Cincinnati.

I would not have expected them to have B&B and Monsters for $10 with them being such new releases. Guess they DID have more there than the direct to video ones...but I guess there were just none that WE were interested in...And as I think about it - perhaps what we are looking for are not out on DVD yet? :(

TDS at Valley View Mall in Dallas yesterday was pretty quiet at 10:45 when we left. They still had a large selection of dvds. They also had the 'ice cream' Pooh plush line on sale for 50% off. And all snowglobes are 25% off.

We bought lilo, Atlantis for $10, an ice cream eeyore for dil for xmas (I'm so glad it was 50 off!) and some other little things. Came to $50.22 and I got the $10 gift card.

I was able to get Tarzan & Jane & Max Keeble on DVD on Saturday. The CM told me the sale was ending on Sunday.

On Friday, we got:

Oliver & Co.
Beauty & the Beast
Hunchback of Notre Dame &
pre-ordered Lilo & Stitch

We then got the $10 gift card & used it to purchase Peter Pan for free! We also rec'd the coupon for buy3, get 1 free, so we will be getting Hercules for $1.99 shipping charges.

Saturday, at a different local mall, we purchased:

Atlantis & Robin Hood.

We were able to use our Disney Club discount & got 10% off all of our DVD's!!! Great Deals!

Just as a side note. I went into my local Disney Store today and they still had the DVDs and VHS tapes at 10.00 each. I bought a couple more for Christmas presents, used my Disney Club Discount and 3 of my prepurchase Gift cards... They selection of DVDs was pretty limited at the store I went to, but they still had quite a few.

I also picked up...
Halloween Sulley stuffed animal Lights up and talks
4 pins
Lilo & Stitch presale

I went to DS at 7 pm this evening and got Cindrella 2, Return to Neverland and Tarzan and Jane. Thats what they had left on dvd. Their selection was better on vhs.
