We purchased the following DVDs--- Oliver and Company
Winnie the Pooh
Schoolhouse Rock
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command - The Adventure Begins
Return to Neverland
They had the following in DVD--
The Rollie Pollie Ollie direct to video offering that came out late Summer
3 Cabelleros
The Rookie
Cinderella II and Hunchback II
SnowDogs
Airbud
Tarzan and Jane
They did have many more titles in the VHS format. Hercules, Emperor's New Groove, Robin Hood, House of Mouse, Toy Story I/II and quite few more including all of the items that we got in the DVD format. We are no longer buying VHS tapes. The Winnie Pooh was a replacement for our VHS tape. All of the others were additions. I had been wanting to purchase the SR DVD so that was great. The Buzz movie is so average but our boys love it when we get it for them from the library. We usually try and stay away from the flat out remakes like PP, Cindy and HB. The only reason we got Return to Neverland is that Pan is their favorite character.
We would not have purchased what we did if it had not been for the $10 sale. We got 10% off with our DVC card. We also preordered Lilo and Stich in DVD and applied the $10 shopping card toward the purchase.
These type of sales are great for Disney to clear out the VHS stuff without taking a huge hit in the the DVD market. I would not expect them to have just out stuff like HB w/additional footage and Monsters, Inc available for $10.
I do know that great sales like this will have us checking in more regularly at the Disney Stores in our area.
We shopped at the Tri-County Mall in Springdale, Ohio, outside of Cincinnati.
