DVCers in and near New Orleans

Hello Everyone,
I have just read a few posts and noticed a few members from or near to New Orleans. I was just wondering how many others there may be. Cant wait for Mardi Gras, we will be spending it at WDW!!!!

We're a few miles north of you in the Arklatex. We're spending Mardi Gras here at home.

We're fairly close, midway between New Orleans and Jackson, MS, on I-55 - if we're going to the Quarter, for example, we call it 100 miles even, less to the airport. We're close enough for easy day trips and spend lots of Saturdays in the Big Easy.

Of course, any time we're in town, it's all about dinner somewhere. Got any favorites?

Hey everybody. We live in New Orleans in the Lakeview area. My wife and I are new DVC members. We just got back Wednesday from our first DVC trip (split between BCV and OKW). It was a great trip with very few complaints.

We'll be in the Big Easy for Mardi Gras, but we're heading back to Disney on April 27th for a stay at the BWV. Next fall, we're planning a trip to the VWL in either late October or early November.

Life is good.

I don't know for sure how many DVC member live in Louisana, but my family and other two families live here. Hope to pump into to you near future.

Where yat. Hi from Chalmette, LA. We love going to Disney during Mardi Gras. On Fat Tuesday we all dress in the traditional Colors and had out Purple, Green and Gold Beads to guests and CM. Sometimes we get that extra special magic just for giving a CM some Beads.

Mardi Gras in Disney is the best (celebrating Mom's B'day with a family of 10). Watch for us in the MK on that special Day.

My DW grew up in NO and went to med school there. She still has lots of family there, across the lake and in Metarie. So we go there quite often. Cannot get enought of the food and Community coffee, NO blend.

Is Mobile close enough. I was born in Baton Rouge though. This will be my 3rd year at Mardi Gras. So far this has been a great time to go.

Checking in from "The Parish"....

DW and I are members since 03/00 ... we usually stay local for MG. We spend Halloween, the last week of Jan and Mothers Day at our favorite and home resort...BWV!

Doc, welcome to the DIS and enjoy DVC... maybe one year we'll bump into each other.

Thanks for replying everyone. Am actually also from "the parish". TexasAggie, which med school did your DW go to and when did she graduate? I went to LSU med school. Hope to see all who make it to WDW during MG.
