DVC wedding or vow renewal question.

Have any DVC members used points to stay at WDW for a wedding, honeymoon, or vow renewal package?

I'm planning (way in advance) for our 10th Anniversary in 2004. I'm looking into a vow renewal either at WDW or the Cruise Line using points for our stay and paying for the extras.

Does anyone have any experience doing this?

I don't have any experience YET doing this, but after I close next week somtime, it will be 11 months out from our Honeymoon trip in Jan so I will be calling then for the stay. So I will be watching this thread for tips and other responses you get.

It will be our first trip home as MEMBERS! we were there few weeks ago using rented points and took the first steps into a much larger world. (We got engaged and bought into DVC) wedding is in Early November

Fairytale Weddings will be able to answer your questions on the subject. You may want to visit the DIS's Weddings Board for all the info you need. I am not sure if they offer packages minus the hotel arrangements. But they will have the answers for you over there. Good luck!

My wife and I got married in 1997 at Disney. We used about all of 2 years worth of points . about 450 pts. We got married at the Wedding Pavilion. Then we had the rehearsal dinner in our grand villa at OKW . We used all of the remaining pts for numerous studios for the rest of the immediate family. worked out great. everybody said it was the best . dave

hi: my son and dil used our points for their honeymoon last year at wdw. maybe i can sneak in a 25yr. trip for us this year.
