DVC website issues

I am also having problems. I only get the top half of the pages when I use Mozilla. I did "sneak" on using IE and it did work fine for me. My husband who does Computer Security for a living, hates it when I use IE. Oh well, guess I won't be checking the sight very often!

I am a MAC user with no problems on the site. OSX 10.3.5 with Safari web browser. I also use Windows at work, XP pro, Win2000 and 98SE with only minor problem with cookies due to security restrictions we have in place. As DVC site is JAVA based it will most likely be due to the version of java installed on your computer. Apple just released a new version that corrects problems I have had with other sites.

I use 10.3.5 and have latest Java. Still problems with both Safari and IE. At work I use 10.2.8 and have same problems. I just don't get this!! Top of page links work, bottom don't.

I'm running 10.3.5 with Safari and everything is updated including the recent Java update. I can sign on to the site but not pull up some parts. Can you pull up the points charts with Safari?

I am another Mac user, using saffari and being able to only sign in. I can not open anything else up. It is very frustrating but I am glad I am not alone with this problem.

The links across the top and the bottom work but nothing in between including the MS email link. disgirl, if you need something, you can get in with iCab. It doesn't look pretty on the screen but it will allow you to access the links. That's the problem when people write things for IE instead of writing in standard HTML and letting the browsers conform.

I did some snooping of the code in the pages on the DVC members site. It looks like there are some coding errors with the Macromedia Flash parts of the website. The flash plugin for Safari does not always work properly due to the way security works in OSX. It is possible that you can go to the disk utility and run repair permissions to fix it but it may not wok unless you have root user signed in. :smooth:

I just posted another thread. I thought this one exhisted but I had trouble finding it at first. So, sorry for the repeat.

Anyway, I am also a mac user running 10.3.5. I have not yet installed the latest security update or the latest Java 1.4.2 update. I am now also having problems with the DVC website. Tried three different browsers. Never had problems before.

So, I definitely think the problem is on their end because I have not changed the configuration of my machine for a while and from what I read here, there are a lot of mac users now having problems. That is definitely NOT a coincidence!

This will only get fixed if we all hound them on a routine basis.

I think a good idea is to access the DVC website via my PC at work and contact MS via the "Contact Us" link and send MS an email with a link to this discussion. That will prove to them that there is a problem with macs interfacing with their site.

I am MAD!
