Do they include any detergent in the room? If so, how much?

Also, anyone have any experience bringing some detergent pods on an airplane? Do they handle the altitude fine? I will double zip lock them.

Thanks!

Yes there’s liquid detergent in the room. Enough for 2-3 loads. And I believe you can ask for more. (Mousekeeping dropped off 2 more bottles on Day 4, although we did not end up using them.)

That's great, thanks!
I just realized I should caveat my response - this was for 1 bedroom stays where the laundry facilities are in-room. I’m not sure if you’re potentially thinking of a studio. I’d be shocked if they don’t have the detergent available at least to purchase at the laundry rooms.

Hoping someone will chime in with recent studio experiences :) I shouldn’t assume!

I have taken detergent pods many times in my checked luggage on flights, no problems. I recommend putting them in a sealed plastic bag and then inside a hard rigid container so they do not get smashed and burst.

We’ll be in a one bedroom at BLT so hopefully it’s the same as you described.

There is detergent available for purchase in the DVC laundry rooms, just like there is at every laundry room on property.

We always bring our own pods. Put them in a small Tupperware-type container. No problem on the plane. Cargo holds are pressurized just like the passenger compartment (although not heated as much - kept at around 45-50 degrees)

They use a new product in the rooms. It is ECOS laundry detergent and one bottle is good for two loads. I'm not a big fan of it, but it works okay in a pinch.

Washers in one bedrooms or larger are regular detergent, but HE works. The ones in the larger laundry rooms are HE only.

A bottle ofECOSdetergent. Two loads worth. I really liked it.

You can now request more from housekeeping.
Yep same here! And no issues irritating skin - that is always my fear when using a different detergent than what I have at home.
