Just to add more fodder to the rumour mill...My guide told me last Friday that the closing costs starting July 1 was not an absolute set decision yet (according to her management)...and IF DVC starts to charge closing costs it would just be a portion..Not the whole thing.

Hope that helps. I'm still holding out for the DVC Waitlist for BVC anyways.

I just spoke to my guide ... closing costs will be for new memberships ... Add-on's will still be exempt from closing costs. At least, according to what they just told me ...

Preferred View? Really? I figured those would be harder to come by? What kind of view do the standard rooms get?

BWV has three bookable room categories. Standard View villas overlook the driveway and parking lot areas, but they require fewer points which makes them very popular. The Guaranteed Boardwalk View villas are just what the name implies. Preferred View is everything else (canal view, pool view, garden view, etc.) Guaranteed Boardwalk View and Preferred View cost the same number of points.

The Standard View and Guaranteed Boardwalk View villas make up a small percentage of the resort, maybe 20% in total, and they book up quickly due to lower points in the first case and the fantastic view in the second case.
