DVC UY.... WDW direct contract..?

I know this will be a daft question, but I read a thread about the UY & which one you should choose on this forum..

I assume that you can only hope to choose the UY if you buy re-sale..?

As I hope to get a direct contract with WDW when I vacation in October, will my UY end then, or can I choose to delay my UY to another month,

i believe you CAN specify the UY when buying direct. OTOH, DVC may not have any points available for your specified UY, in which case you would have to waitlist...

see this thread for how that can work with sold out resorts/use years.

You can get the UY you want by purchasing resale. Just check over the resales offered, find one that meets your needs by number of points, price and UY.
